QUOTE(cooldownguy86 @ Sep 14 2015, 08:21 PM) Poh Huat price already up rather high, now 2.91. Shortly before this it was hovering at 2.60 to 2.65Take note also their Vietnam factory had a fire around 2 weeks ago, will affect next 3 to 6 months profits as the goods/products got burnt. It's in the Bursa announcements. But of course if you want another round of dividends....Sept 30 I think- they just gave dividends in July. Later, the free warrants(1:4), then share split, welcome welcome This post has been edited by eaglehelang: Sep 14 2015, 09:29 PM |

Shortly before this it was hovering at 2.60 to 2.65 agree, but if it can achieve 9 cents per quarter then based on PE10 the fair value is RM3.60. I think still got 20% upside, and might be a good bet given that:Take note also their Vietnam factory had a fire around 2 weeks ago, will affect next 3 to 6 months profits as the goods/products got burnt. Weakening of MYR against USD and VND QUOTE During the quarter, the performance of both the Vietnamese and Malaysian subsidiaries improved substantially. The Vietnamese operations recorded a strong margin improvement amidst the stronger US Dollar and overall higher productivity which has resulted in better absorption of overheads. The profit before tax from the Vietnamese operation rose significantly to RM7.10 million against a profit of RM3.56 million previously. The Malaysian operations also continued to improve with a higher profit before tax of RM4.34 million due to its focus on higher value items and the better pricing brought about by the stronger US Dollar against the Ringgit. During the quarter under review, the Group recorded foreign currency translation gain of RM3.40 million due mainly to the weakening of the Malaysian Ringgit against the Vietnamese Dong. |

Valucap is set up 2002 .. it is always in the market, it is khazanah's klse investment arm, started with something like RM 5 bil. Last downturn (2008) valuecap actually made nice money. This new RM 20 bil is additional investment. The infrastructure is there, they could quickly jump into action. This post has been edited by gark: Sep 15 2015, 09:33 AM |

QUOTE(Pink Spider @ Sep 15 2015, 09:34 AM) Everything is eventually futile.. But then hor... Better to be seen doing something rather than nothing.. otherwise.. QUOTE Najib, speaking at the Prime Minister's Office in Putrajaya today, outlined this as one of the immediate measures by the special economic committee he had set up to look into the current economic situation. This post has been edited by gark: Sep 15 2015, 09:37 AM"Most of these companies have made profit in their investments and now is the time to bring the investments back home," he said. He added that Malaysian companies have foreign investments worth RM522 billion to date. Najib said investments by Malaysian companies abroad are more than the RM477 billion in foreign direct investments (FDI). He said the companies were encouraged to invest the money in domestic projects that have "doubling value". "Private companies are urged to do the same," he said. Many Malaysian GLCs have made property investments overseas, and some have attracted controversy in the past. |
