Radar detector in malaysia, does it make sense?

hello all,
coming back to malaysia for vacation, and i thought to get my dad a radar detector for his birthday seeing as he likes to speed a lot. unlike in US though, dont know if such things are common in malaysia, and what bands are used. his use case is mainly to avoid the speed cameras. would this be a good buy? and if so, what bands do police/speed cameras use? thanks for the info! |
