QUOTE(rockets @ Jan 22 2016, 12:37 PM) It's the sound of the direct injection, it happens when you accelerate the car hard. In direct injection cars, fuel is pumped at very high speed during heavy acceleration which is why you can hear ticking sound sometimes if the engine bay sound insulation is not so good(ours is average at best). Good info. I use 97. No harm right the 'ticking' sound?OR It could be engine knocking, usually due to bad fuel. What brand fuel are you using? |

QUOTE(Ginny88 @ Jan 29 2016, 02:11 PM) No you can't. In any case the alarm uses the puny horn to sound so I doubt any bad guy coming after you will be impressed. You could install an aftermarket alarm but that will probably void your electrical warranty. Dont want 2 mess with d warranties lah. Then how lah 2 chase peps frm leaning on my M3. Damn. Haha 😅 |

QUOTE(Ginny88 @ Jan 29 2016, 02:07 PM) I've encountered the 'tik' sound on my windscreen twice since reading about it. May have occurred more previously which I didn't pay attention. It's not a loud sound like some say, more like a very tiny pebble hitting your windscreen. 'Tik' then it's gone. Where did it come from? As if I care. Why are some owners so sensitive to minor sounds like this? Come on guys, enjoy your car. No need to investigate every little fart it makes. True that. Guess the car is so damn good that ppl picks on those 'tick2', 'kluk2' sounds. As long as the sounds wont make d car unsafe, they (the sounds) can be forgiven & ignored. I forgive them 😁 |

QUOTE(hz428 @ Feb 3 2016, 07:11 PM) Just got my mazda3 high spec , blue reflex mica color. So far I am loving every bit of the car. When I got the car mileage is about 86Km. is there anyway to set the I-stop default as disable ? Don't really like this feature especially when u jam in KL. Congrats! That color is very nice. My 1st choice but I took alum metalc cz my sa told me that color susah mcm soul red if anything happen. I dun find the istop is annoying. It saves the fuel. Most of the time in traffic jam when I know it'll take long time to wait, I purposely kill off my air cond so that the istop is on. Just use the air cond at 18 degc & the istop wont bother u 😊. |

QUOTE(toonny @ Feb 3 2016, 08:32 PM) Wow bro! Picture pls.. Blue reflex mica is my first choice, unfortunately it need long waiting period therefore i go for Aluminum Metallic. Is it really there the fb for skyactiv mazda3? I couldn't find it 😕86km is acceptable, i got mine at 82km. They need to send your car for inspection so i personally thinks within 100 km is ok. And congrates on getting your baby! Do head to fb Skyactiv Mazda3 group for more info. I-Stop unable to permanently disable, just make it a habit when you starts your car, off it manually. |
