Hi All,

Wanna share the experience with all the proud owners and soon to be owners of Mazda 3 Skyactive 2.0.

I've been driving my M3 CKD for 5 months plus since June 2015. and my total km now is 29,870km.

Really enjoyed my ride and I bet all the m3 owners as well. *You know what I'm saying*
Here are the fuel consumption experience I've been tracking so far.

City Drive : 6.9 ltr / 100km @ 40kph ~ 90kph | approx 35 ltr Ron 95 @ RM65 ~ RM70 | approx 500km ~ 520km
City Drive : 6.5 ltr / 100km @ 40kph ~ 90kph | approx 35 ltr Ron 97 @ RM75 ~ RM80 | approx 530km ~ 550km

Highway : 4.7 ltr / 100km @ 90kph | approx 35 ltr Ron 95 @RM65 ~ RM70 | approx 750km
Highway : 5.4 ltr / 100km @ 110kph | approx 35 ltr Ron 95 @RM65 ~ RM70 | approx 660km
Highway : 5.8 ltr / 100km @ 120kph | approx 35 ltr Ron 95 @RM65 ~ RM70 | approx 610km
Highway : 7.2 ltr / 100km @ 150kph | approx 35 ltr Ron 95 @RM65 ~ RM70 | approx 490km
Highway : 8.6 ltr / 100km @ 180kph | approx 35 ltr Ron 95 @RM65 ~ RM70 | approx 420km

From the data i've monitored for the pass 6 months, it was very fuel saving compare to my previous car. In performance wise, the car really boost up (CBU's i-eloop is better than CKD) and stable (speed up to 210kph - KL to Kuantan).

Braking system is awesome, the SCSB triggered when I almost went through the Smart Tag Boomgate. The rearview sensor helps a bit but not all of it. You will still have blindspot (Almost bang into a car on my right which i didnt notice, unless i turn my head looking to the right).

Overall, it's a fuel saving, comfy, safety, sporty and performance ride. Have all the features you need for that price.

Hope all the M3 owners there feel the same. thumbup.gif

The best i hv ever achieved is 8.1L/100km, and that's 50% highway drive. Full tank can go 610km. Now it doesnt seem like its going down anymore. I drove like 90kmh on highway with autocruise for so long it doesnt want to go down anymore. How can you all get <7L/100km......
*
Perhaps, the moment u come out from you house to the toll consume around 9 - 14 ltr / 100km. From toll to toll the system will start averaging it and perhaps that's how you get 8.1 avg the best. One day when i am travelling again KL to Penang to meet customer and back straight without cruising around Penang, I am sure i can reach KL -> Penang -> KL (one day trip) with 1 full tank of 51 liter at 760km with 90kph. (Cruise all the way. No foot.)

Let me take a snapshot to show u in future that i achieve 4.9 ltr/ 100km. My best is 4.6 ltr / 100km at 85 ~ 90kph on highway for 3 hours 30 minutes.

But i would take my norminal travelling at 5.2 ~ 5.6 liter / 100km which is still fuel saving for me which I will be earning through my mileage claim.
My consistant pump (KL -> Penang + 1 hours in city [30km+] - 30 ~ 31 ltr @ RM70+) which means stuck in Penang island consumes more.

Tips of Earning through mileage:
Claim : 1km = 0.70 [RM/km] (Even standard 0.50 [RM/km] still earns)
Usage : 35 [liter] (worse case scenario) / 5.2 [liter / 100km ] * 100 [km] = 673 [km]
Cost : [RM] 70 / 673 [km] = 0.1040 [RM/km]
Gross Profit : 0.70 - 0.1040 = 0.596 [RM/km]
Conclusion: RM70 spend on 673km, claim RM471.10, earn RM401.10
*This earning will go to your service eventually. cry.gif *

So every km I travel, I earn RM0.596. If I travel 673km multiply with RM0.596 = RM401.108 Gross earning. =)

Remembering there is 1 arcticle of Mazda 2 1.5 with skyactive engine in thailand achieve 1000km+. Travelling from Bangkok to Hatyai if I'm not mistaken. That, i want to know how they really achieve it. From Paultan review or somewhere. Can google up.

Hey guys, any of you used the Mazda wifi function before?? what does it do, i tried using with my phone tethering but can't connect, some other forums i read said it needs some special structure of passcode to work(bug)? anybody actually tried it out??

And any of you updated your mazda MMS before?? north america site but it updates the mazda system supposedly, gonna try it out soon

Basically, so far the wifi thingy is for you to search local in navigation. Mine somehow bug. The wifi no longer work and I can't search the places online anymore which I need to go bermaz to update to the latest software version(not sure Malaysia Bermaz has it). When i get my car, the sw version is 50.1.xxxxxx. The latest is 55.1.xxxxx.

Heard from my gf said the tv advertisement showing newest m3 2.0 skyactive MZD can connect to Facebook. So there must be some sw update or smth in order to do that.

Sales assistant told me the same thing when i got my car, can surf FB.
GPS got 1 show traffic option, i think its show where got jam so if connect wifi, you can see like google or waze which road is jam etc... if got show which road got speed cam then best hahaha, they sales fella told me DIY update via SD card found in your arm rest compartment
*
Yeah, that's correct. The wifi also shows traffic. Is their Mazda server though, not link to google. I tried their traffic, cannot rely. Waze is the most efficient.

I wish their traffic link to waze then we know where got speed cam. Ha ha ha.

I pumped in 44 litres to full, at that time the avg fc reading was 9.3l/100km, and the range right after the fill up was 702km.

And then the next fill up i pumped in full tank again, this time 45 litres, the avg fc reading then was 8.2l/100km. And the range shown was 644km.

Shouldnt it be more on the second time since the avg fc has dropped compared to the previous one? At both times I had full tank.
*
You have to look into overall bro. It's best if you check your MZD fuel consumption data analyze. Look at the picture which I've took. The avg FC is hard for you to judge.

Basically, you need to know how you want to control your speed on the highway. Well, basically in city, you can hardly control due to the jam. Your speed have to be constant in order m3 system to show you the accurate display. If you 10 mins step 90 kph then the next 110 kph, then next 50kph, and so on, how can m3 system show you an accurate display, if you get what i mean. It's best if you observe the current FC instead of the average. For my guess, m3 system will take 90kph + 110 kph + 50kph + so on / the time running = average FC.

QUOTE(FlamingASSH0LE @ Dec 11 2015, 08:15 AM)
I read somewhere(quite sure for another car), they take their range based on the FC of last 10km for rough estimation, then next 10km for a more accurate reading... But somehow i find mazda estimated range quite accurate, like it doesnt respond instantly compared to some other cars i drove...
*
So far, if at constant speed, yes, i find it 80% accurate. The other 20% base on approximity / roughly (example, m3 shows 780km and u can roughly estimate 750km @ 90kph.)

Here are the pictures of the km I've been travelling from Damansara to Penang with just 1 fuel tank.

Above is the full tank before i travel to Penang. Notice that is already running 24.1km.

Above is the total km which i m about to refill
user posted image
Above refilled. The km updated shows 797km which I'm able to drive at 110kph constantly.

Above is the price I've pump. 34.41 liter @ RM67.10 - RM1.95 per liter
Note that M3 is a 51 liter car. That gives me remaining of 16.59 liter.

Hope this give an overall that m3 is a fuel saving car depends on the speed you are going. Above is 90kph and 110kph day trip.

Well, enjoy your ride with M3 guys. =)

Raining day on last Sunday, my car suddenly have "ngek ngek" sound from suspension when passing thru bumps. But after dry, no more sound. If this is relate to those issue you guys discussed?

The "kruk kruk" sound when going bumps has been solved since first 1k km service. Now this "ngek ngek" is another fault...haih.
*
Same thing here, I just went service last Saturday (12 Dec 2015) and I told the service guy i have this kruk kruk and ngek ngek sound the moment i get in and out from car. Never notice about the weather though. After service, no longer hear those kruk kruk or ngek ngek. Service guy told me he cant find that sound which I told him. Hmm.. need to observe more.

Secondly my wifi is no longer working for the version 50.1.xxxx. and please take note.

DO NOT UPDATE YOUR SOFTWARE VERSION TO 56.1.xxxx.
1. I dont see much update or changes.
2. Lag! Not super lag but lag and annoying and slow. I wanna go back to my 50.1.xxxx. plus updated to 56.1.xxxx, Wi-Fi still unsolved.

So if you guys planning to update your software to 56.1.xxxx, please taruh them first before you risk it.
