Hi all,
Has anyone gotten their HS meteor gray from Penang branch? I'm still waiting since mid of April.

To all who have gotten their M3 - have fun! Hopefully I'll join you all soon.

Hi M3 owners, has anyone tinted their car with Raytech before? I met their salesperson when I was settling payment for my car. Any good or bad comments have you heard about their tint?

It depends which branch you going to do your tint, i did mine at one of their branch and there are defects on the windscreen side, therefore i had to go back to re-tint but they offer higher grade one for free
*
At least they took responsibilty and helped you re-tint. Are you using the normal/security film? Do you mind to share the tint series that you took and how much did you pay for it? It would help give me an idea how much discount normally from the price on brochure.

Yes, the loan can be signed first but the money won't be released until the car has arrived, you have paid the balance and it has been registered in your name.

Some dealers require you to pay when the car is allocated to you and arrived in PDI hence you have no chance to inspect the car first. If possible try to delay payment until the car has arrived in the shop and you can inspect the car. The car will be in PDI at most 3 days.

Of course once you pay the balance you can no longer reject the car.

Crap. I forgot to check before I paid the balance. Hopefully my car is all good without any major defect when I get it sad.gif

balance = car price OTR with insurance - loan amount - NCB - SA discount.

The SA should work out the balance for you. Buy a Banker's cheque from your bank. It's fast and easy.

The car won't be registered with JPJ until you pay the balance. Registration is fast as it can be done online. But if you choose a number you have to wait for the number to come out.

Make sure your bank loan is signed already or it will delay your car delivery.
*
Hi Kenny, did you register your car yourself? If I were to register my car myself, are these the only documents needed: K1 form, LOU from bank, car insurance? Anything else that I need? Thanks Kenny smile.gif

Hi other sifus, if you know what documents needed to bring to JPJ to register a new car please comment too smile.gif thanks in advance!

No I didn't register the car myself. Why would you want to do that? It's the SA's job.
*
I'm gan jiong to get my car haha. I'll leave it to the SA then unless I still don't get it next week. My car is already in their garage n the balance has been transferred yesterday.

Dealer can do JPJ registration more efficiently than you as they can do it online. Did you pay to select number. If you did the delay could be due to waiting for the running number to reach your number.

I bought my plate number right after I booked the car 4 months ago. Paid additional rm10 to extend the expiry date.

Guys, pls take note that I'm from Penang Island, so the tint shop that I spoke so highly of is in Geroge Town.
It is a proper Raytech outlet, so you can google for "Raytech + Penang" n you'll get the shop's facebook page that has all the info and contact nos, and addy. (my car is on the 30th June entry :-)
Google will even give you the directions. The cost for M3 is about RM2K, ymmv.
Or you can visit the Raytech Malaysia website and checkout the list of other outlets in malaysia (under 'news').

Cheers..

Nice aluminium M3 you have there! It should be quite a good tint to cost RM2k. Do you rmb the TSER% for your tint. And is it a security tint?

Hi uxb138, did you manage to look at your tint series? Because different specs have very big price difference, hoping can estimate what kind of spec can get for less than 2k. Thanks ya.

Sorry Axx8882, been away from the PC.

Can't remember the TSER% numbers...but the FWS is Ultra 70, and the others are 4 mil security tints (7 years warranty for all). These tints are from the previous series, not sure if they are still available. The new ones should be out. But invest in a good tint (you get what you pay for) ...cooler interior, less air-con usage (tf better FC), protection for the interior, etc. and it looks good too  cool2.gif
There are many series, ask for a demo for each series, and choose the best that fits your budget, using your SA's voucher, and some nice talk to the tauke  biggrin.gif
*
I decided to go for the Raytech V97 (pre-GST non-security tint) all around + Q70 front (second to Ultra 70), but I guess I'm not good enough in negotiating sad.gif I'm paying more than what you did and your tint (security + best front) seems better too.

Hi guys, I want to ask Mazda3 sedan CKD owners, for the auto headlight-on, lower/higher means on headlight when darker? And another quick question, did your cars come with jumping cables?

Hi all, for the auto headlight-on setting, LOW means on headlight when it's very dark or when it's very bright? Also, did your cars come with jumping cables?

Does our HS adaptive headlights system allow us to keep high beam on always? i.e. When there is car in front/opposite direction, it will turn off highbeam?

I see. So that means our car will even auto switch from low to high beam when it can/should. Thanks Kenny!

Hi guys, quick question, do you guys update your own nav map or asked the SC to do it? I just realized my map is at least 1 and a half years old because the penang second bridge is not in the map (the car thought I was driving over water haha)
