Hi guys , i have few question regarding our mazda 3

1) Can our mazda 3 play dvd on the screen? I saw my friends new cx5 able to play dvd

2) If i want to adjust the wheel camber , do i need to add on camber screw in order to adjust it?

3) Any 1 here has replace battery before? I saw online there is people selling RM 600 for original mazda GS battery. It wrote there if don't use original battery i-stop will never function. Is that true? Any one here using other brand battery ?
*

My headlamp fog condition was there when i got the car. Just noticed them when i turn on the headlamp and look from outside voila! Fog appear on both headlamp

QUOTE(KennyKB @ Dec 15 2015, 09:06 PM)
Don't understand what you are saying. The fog complained by others is due to water vapour entering the headlamps causing tiny water droplets inside and nothing to do with the clarity of the cover. When it dries up the fog disappears. What type of fog do you mean?
*
I dont think mine is vapour but look like some thin layer dust within the headlamp surface. Its fog can be easily visible when the lights are turn on but without light the headlamp is look perfectly clear

Tyre noise is not an big issue and you will definitely feel more comfortable than bothering from tyre noise when crusing on the rd.

Correction, aftermarket batteries can be used, provided they are start stop capable batteries able to withstand fast charge and discharge cycles. The issue is when you fit in the battery, need a to "reset/reconditioning/reprogram" the ECU. To be safe, get Q85/T110 type batteries; or my personal favourite, the AGM type Odyssey battery (i don't mean honda odyssey here, there's actually a brand of lead battery called Odyssey).

I think this is light refraction caused by inconsistencies in the plastic material during moulding. Mine also got some and I don't think service centre would consider this for a warranty claim. If you're paranoid and willing to disassemble (i don't know whether this is possible) the casing, you can do a manual polish on the inside surface.

i wont consider it working if i would touch anything on the ECU part which will void your warranty
everytime u recondition your ECU, there is a number counter for it

btw, how much does it cost?

Your m3 is ckd or cbu unit? The inner fog layer which almost like 2 tennis ball size are very obvious on my both headlamp when the lights are switch on. I wouldn't dare take the risk to dismantle the headlamp but will let sc know when going for 10k service. Hope they hv solution for it

Doesn't look like fog to me, just looks like reflection from the light. Looks normal.

Here's an aftermarket reference, costs RM650 :
http://store.zhapalang.com.my/product_info...roducts_id=6759

This is the OEM unit for your reference (no price, just specification) :
http://www.yuasa.co.uk/batteries/automotiv...es/ybx7005.html

Odyssey battery may cost double, but they are known to last the lifetime of your car (10 years or more). Unlike normal maintenance free battery that dies if you discharge it beyond certain level, Odyssey batteries can be recharged back to normal state a few hundred cycles. You just need to invest in a lead acid battery charger with AGM battery charging function.

Speaking of car battery chargers, i think they are a good investment as even normal maintenance free batteries can last up to 4 years, provided you don't drain them dead. This is where car battery chargers come in to do a maintenance charge periodically. I own one and my old vios battery lasted more than 3 years till i sold it off.

Even my mum's new C class also have a bit of slight blurring on the main beam path. I do think this is an inherent property of the plastic.

From the GS Yuasa webpage, I'm not sure what kind type of battery they are using as it's not stated. The RM650 one is AGM type, should last longer.

As for the odyssey battery, i only know RFA racing from johor. You can type "RFA Racing Johor" in google search. I knew about that when they have an online presence in lelong.com but currently no longer there anymore. You can call to contact them. An alternative would be Optima battery. Very unique construction, but can pump out more power per cell.

Another way is to look for accessory shop/workshop that specialises in :

1) Serious car audio modification (those cars that are filled with speakers almost every corner of the car). These modified cars will need electrical enhances including batteries to pump out more sound
2) 4x4 workshops. These serious 4x4 uses winches which draw a lot of power to pull the vehicle out of a ditch

I didn't say got 10 years guarantee. It is just that there are users reporting (overseas, locally not heard of yet) it to last beyond their life of their cars. No battery manufacturer dare to give 10 year guarantee one la sweat.gif

But most importantly, you need to get a battery charger. It can extend lifespan of batteries, even cheapo types laugh.gif

I would just accept it. Nobody is going to be looking closely into your headlights when the light is on. There is no perfection in this world especially with a car.

Hey everyone,

I just got offered RM1500 rebate OR LLumar Titanium 4-50 security tint + smartag+ full tank for Mazda 3 HS in JB.

I want to go with the tinted but wondering if LLumar Titanium 4-50 is good and worth the price or should I go for other brands like Rhinepro?

Hope for your advise, thank you!

Any GL owner change their A/C control knobs to better looking ones like HS specs? They are available aftermarket like this one but not sure if they are easy to replace. I tried pulling out the original knobs by hand but they seem very tight.

Take the 1500 and bargain to get full tank. You can go survey the market for the tint that you like.

Tinting done by dealers hardly cost more than 1000 as they build long term relationship with the tint installer.
