Hi there, is there anyway to increase the wifi signal on the router Thomson TG784n ? The signal was bad to begin with, i had to add a fan cooler to the router to prevent overheat, use a a good wifi adapter (TP-LINK TL-WN7200ND) with some modification to it to get below average signal. Other room cannot receive wifi signal most of the time, the router was on ground floor while the room are on first floor only, yet the wifi signal cannot reach some of the places, any solution to this ?

No. Disable WiFi on the router and buy another AP for better performance.

I'm using a cheap TP-Link TL-WDR4300 for Maxis Fiber. Stable enough. Just make sure u set the channels manually. Use an Android app called WiFi Analyzer to determine which channel is best for u.

Crap kept rebooting itself for no reason and despite latest firmware, the WiFi not stable. Paid close to RM 600 for it. No more Asus for me. They sucked at making routers.

QUOTE(icecubemoon @ Jun 23 2015, 02:11 PM) can maxis helper help me ? or am I in the wrong section ? Dude, like acbc said there there is no settings to boost the wifi signal. U can however try to change the wifi channel and test if there is any difference. Normally default wifi channels for phone hotspots is 6 and broadband channels is 11. Why not set to manual in your wifi settings and change to other channels besides this. Also there are many apps which you can download to check which wifi channel is better for you in your location.
