QUOTE(maskedchan @ Jun 21 2015, 10:11 AM) Did u go on weekend or weekdays? Weekday (but not Friday) at 12pm. I don't think MBB is promoting the "get your card within 60 minutes" thing anymore anyway. It's not mentioned on their website and the staff at the card centre that handled my application said that it would take more than an hour. The videos on the TV screen outside the card centre still has it though If weekdays is it on Friday or what time did u reach the card center? |

QUOTE(aranel @ Jun 26 2015, 03:17 PM) Hi all, Yes. That's correct. But please take note of the recent news that everyone is freaking out about. The 5% is gone after 1st August this year.Need to seek advise, I just received my maybank card but wanted to understand about the Amex cash rebate. Since the cash rebate is only on sat and sunday, can I make my monthly (online) payment of TNB bill, unifi bill, insurance (Great Eastern) and maintenance bill on the weekend and get the rebate? |

QUOTE(Ramjade @ Jun 28 2015, 05:35 PM) There's no one size that can fit all. It really depends on your usage patterns. Looking back at my own usage of the MBB2Amex card, I spent more on paying for online stuff than for fuel. So I'll most probably replace this card with UOB Vox/CIMB Cash Rebate. |

QUOTE(Ramjade @ Jun 28 2015, 05:54 PM) The idea of using codes is it won't turn up on Google. Second, it will be harder for banks to read how one "abuse" the system. Making a particular benefit to last longer. If banks really wanted to read how people abuse their cards, they would be monitoring these forums already. The Lowyat forum is one of the biggest forums in Malaysia. If you can decipher these codes easily, all the bank staff from MBB, CIMB, HLB and whatever bank can do the same as well. Using codes does nothing to deter this. |

QUOTE(amxpayne67 @ Jun 28 2015, 09:33 PM) Sorry for misunderstand, i am not aware that the charge is no longer applicable to MBB cards. Because last time there is a debate about this charge. If like this perhaps this card still worth keeping. The RM50 GST was abolished for all credit cards when the 6% GST on 1st April was implemented. It is now charged on annual fees instead. Since this card has RM0 annual fees, even with GST the annual fee is still RM0 =) |

QUOTE(lonelywalker @ Jun 29 2015, 10:16 PM) Did you actually see the 5% petrol cashback on paper on was that just a figure given to you by the salesman? Because there is no no mention of "petrol" or "fuel" in the TnC and no mention of it on the product page either. The only card that even comes close to that is RHB Travel Money, but the 5% petrol rebate is only valid for the first weekend of every month. |

QUOTE(munkeyflo @ Jun 30 2015, 10:08 PM) UOB One had a quota for petrol rebate, so have to pump early in the month. Then recently also change their rebate to weekends only. So I guess can only get rebate if we pump within the first few weekends of the month. UOB One no longer has the RM900,000 petrol quota This post has been edited by Prodigenous Zee: Jun 30 2015, 10:21 PM |

QUOTE(akira de aimbuster @ Jul 3 2015, 09:31 PM) Our sifu Gen-X made a good write up on the common replacement cards being suggested. One of the reasons why this card was so highly recommended was because the cashback requirements are dead simple: just spend on a weekend and everything is cashback. But now everyone has to run to category based cashbacks, so it really depends on how you spend your money. So better look back at how you were using this CC in order to determine the best replacement.. |

Last month I requested to change my statement date to be on the 30th. My June statement was generated on 30/6, then my cashback was credited the following day on 1/7. In this case, do I still pay according to the statement amount? What I mean is:
30/6 statement generated = RM400 due 1/7 cashback = RM10 given My statement amount is understandably still RM400, but my outstanding amount has reduced to RM390. Let's say I pay the statement amount and I don't use the card again (want to cut), does that mean my RM10 cashback is gone forever? |

QUOTE(poweredbydiscuz @ Jul 4 2015, 04:00 PM) You pay the statement amount (RM400). Then when you want to cut the card, call CS and ask them to transfer the RM10 to your CASA. QUOTE(maskedchan @ Jul 4 2015, 04:02 PM) pay the outstanding amount.. you cannot overpay if you pay via m2u.. any outstanding amount in credit card after you terminate, they will issue cheque to you if they owe you.. QUOTE(fruitie @ Jul 4 2015, 05:52 PM) You will not be able to pay RM 400, it will not allow. So, you will still pay RM 390. This case is only applicable if your unbilled transactions os 0. I forgot to mention that I do not pay via M2U, I pay via IBG. So I think they will still "allow" me to overpay. Anyway, according to the CS I called I can pay either. Which doesn't really make sense |

QUOTE(BeastX @ Jul 5 2015, 04:04 PM) Nope... just pay 390.... you may notice if you get your online statement on M2U, the cash back has deducted from your minimum balance payment, RM10 should be recorded as the last payment.... what you own the bank is outstanding balance, which is 390 I believe... QUOTE(victorywp @ Jul 5 2015, 04:32 PM) Just reviewed my statement: no, RM10 is not recorded as last payment. Minimum payment balance is still 5% of overall amount due. |

So this weekend is supposed to be the weekend where we know the fate of the MBB2cards correct? Due to 21 days announcement policy.
Current note shown is this one: QUOTE Note: Starting from 1 August 2015, the 5% Weekend cashback Card Benefit will no longer applicable for Maybank2 American Express. Kindly take note that Maybankreserves the right to revise the Maybank2 Card Benefit as and when it deems necessary, with 21 days prior notice. So bye bye cashback altogether?
