I believe what he meant is the merchant charges 2% fees. And then asking if still worth it to spend at that merchant on weekends.
Doesn't All-IT or someone do something like this?

QUOTE(lel @ Jun 25 2015, 01:26 PM) Hi guys. If I want to use credit card to purchase game from steam, does the transaction record appear instantaneously in my maybank2u or must wait for certain period of time for it to appear? In my experience takes a bit of time. Not that I so hardworking to check immediately. Just rely on the SMS (set your threshold to RM1). Unless you're purchasing games which are cheaper than that.... in which case no worries right? |

I feel WISE covers regular monthly bills much better than this card, and so I prefer petrol. Also because then I don't have to make sure my petrol topup is more than RM50 (WISE paying online can control the RM50 very easily).

QUOTE(OptimusStar @ Jul 25 2015, 03:17 AM) Basically for some of us (myself included) this AMEX serves only a few purposes:-a) Petrol b) General purpose weekend spend For me groceries is handled by HLB Wise. And no other card really worth it for 'general spend' except perhaps AEON Watami 3% with T&C. So Ikhwan for me is just replacing part a). Which is about RM20 a month in cashback on average. As I think fruitie mentioned, nowadays you have to jigsaw match your cards to how you spend. For me priority fixed bills (TNB, groceries, TNG reload for toll) go to HLB wise, Amex has just been for petrol and some general spend. Now Ikhwan replace Amex for petrol, and maybe AEON for general spend if I can figure out whether possible to hit RM1k a month (probably toss my insurance there too). |
