if remove, what will happen to the TPs? sad.gif i got around 30k tp

Nothing will happen to your TPs.

If you choose to stick with the cards, the TPs will still there. The 5x/2x* TP benefit remains unchanged.

CIMB Cash Back Mastercard (2% on mobile and utilities): must signup for Autodebit or Autopay but nobody confirmed at CIMB thread

HLB WISE (10% with selected category and fulfill spending criteria): Streamyx and Unifi doesn't seems like qualify for Mobile nor Utilities category

UOB ONE (2% on mobile): only for Maxis, DiGi and Celcom

Citibank Cash Back (2% on mobile): only for Maxis, DiGi and Celcom

The 21 days prior notice hasn't nothing to do with the cash back credit into your CC.

I am thinking for the bill payment to TNB,TM,Digi, etc... Can we use UOB Vox (or any card that reward online transactions) and pay through 3rd party web like myeg/e-pay/UOB payonline  to get the 5% cb. Any experience users could verify this idea/though?
*

This trick doesn't work on UOB Payonline with CIMB Cash Back Mastercard. It may use MCC code as utilities instead of POSMODE 81.

Ok. Thanks. How about using CIMB Cashback card on newly born e-pay? Tested?  hmm.gif

I'm not sure. You have test yourself.

As I remembered, I pay several bills using UOB Payonline with CIMB Cash Rebate Mastercard. It doesn't show as UOB or UOB Payonline in the statement. I have a feeling that the server is connecting to payee server too. Just a hunch, don't flame me. I'm not an expert on this matter.

Previously :

MBB2 amex pays my
- Utilities (TnB & TMB) 5%
- Phone (Digi Prepaid) 5%
- Petrol 5%
- Touch n Go 5%

CIMB CR
- Utilities (astro) 5%

Now I guess I will change to :

MBB Ikhwan
- Petrol 5%
- Groceries (Touch n Go & Digi Prepaid)[Both reload at Jaya & Aeon Big] 5%
CIMB CR
- Utilities (astro) 5%
- Utilities (TnB & TMB) 2% <- still figuring out how to make it happen
So the only one that will lost my rebate is:
- Cukai Pintu
- Etiqa Insurance
sad.gif sad.gif sad.gif sad.gif sad.gif
*
CIMB CR
- Utilities (astro) 5%
- Utilities (TnB & TMB) 2% <- still figuring out how to make it happen

SI/Autopay/Autodebit on TNB will give 2%

TM bill is unsure.

Actually for 5% CB on Petrol & Groceries, Ikhwan MC is better than VS on:

- Ikhwan MC got TP, VS don't have
- Ikhwan MC can get free holiday, VS don't have

- VS has higher CB capped compare to Ikhwan MC.
*
Ikhwan doesn't have TP for petrol.

Wow this sucks. I use Amex to pay bills for everything that can be paid. But this weekend cashback removal really make it less desirable.

Now waiting for other cards to step up.
*
You should be grateful if other existing cards are not stepping down! LOL

One side you have BNM pressing to lower the merchant fee.

The other side you have MYR depreciating.

Banks won't make loss business. They need to shovel certain items and therefore, customers will be the sacrificing pieces.

This reminds me of my Celebrity Fitness' monthly auto-debit.
The sad thing is no card I can use to substitute it. 5xTP is better than nothing I guess.
*
Most of my Autopay/Autoadebit are tied to utilities and insurance.

Great Eastern ---> Visa
TNB (hometown) ---> Visa
TM (hometown) ---> AMEX
Maxis Wireless MBB ---> AMEX

I thought this Visa will stay with longer. doh.gif

For petrol, I need to switch to HSBC Amanah, at least still can get 3% rebate during weekend.

This card, I will keep it since there is no annual fee..only use it during promotions...
*
The one that will give 8% if you spend more than RM 2k per month.

But the petrol category is tied to 2 to 3 brands only right?
