I am very curious to know how many types of white paint for cars out there?

As I know, there is only one white, which is Solid White/ 2K White.

2K white is considered as Solid White? Am I right? So all the white paint cars, such as Honda, Toyota, Perodua etc are the same?

My kelisa is crystal white.. my sis perodua and her hubby family two Toyota also white.. can't really tell the difference..

Type of paint? Or shade of white?

what kind of white toyota use? camry & altis use?

If not mistaken camry and altis are pearl white

Pearl white will suppose to reflect some shades of purple and green. I doubt Toyota would use pearl white. From what i know, Corolla has always been called Super White since 1980s. Only in 1990s there is an update called Super White 2.

Between all the brands, there are some difference. Its mainly the shade. Toyota one is supposed to be the whitest. Followed by Honda. But there might be others that are even brighter.

Sometimes they like to call it pearl white but the amount of 'pearl' effects differs depending on how they apply the second 'pearl' base coat. There is no standard pearl white since it is a combination of base white plus another layer of 'pearl'. My 86 Satin White Pearl does reflect a greenish purple hue more then the White Pearl CS introduced in 2013 for the new Vios/Altis/Camry.

It is more of type of paint that is white in colour instead of varieties of white paint.

Yeah. Now I wonder if all the white can just be categorized as Solid White and Metallic White (Pearl/ Ivory/ ..
