After doing some research in the Internet, I have purchased the Archer C7. The performance is far better than the stock Unifi router and the price is cheap compared to the features, performance and range of the router. My final decision to go with Archer C7 was made after I read this review from wire cutter.... Here is the link http://www.thewirecutter.com/reviews/best-wi-fi-router/

Aaron... Archer C7 very 2.0 is compatible with Unifi. Setting up is very easy but you have to know the userid and password of your Unifi account. This you can call up TM to get it.

FYI, I have sold the Archer C7 in a couple of weeks using it and I bought myself Asus RT-AC55UHP. Why? Because I need some features from the router that Archer C7 don't have or I simply don't know how to configure. Those features like parental controls, etc are more easier to setup through the friendly GUI that Asus router has.

As for coverage or signal quality, the Asus router I bought has the longest antenna I ever find on a router and that gives a very good coverage throughout the entire house, 2 storey with thick walls. The WiFi signal from the RT-AC55UHP can reach up to almost 100m where the is an open space in front of my house.

Setting up the router was very easy, the whole family is happy with the performance, and I can easily manage the router to filter or block or give access to any devices connected to it.

I am a happy camper....
