Bought Asus Router RT-N12HP around RM220 to replace my ancient unifi router. Very simple web interface setup plus support Hypptv. Just make sure u remember your account id and password to login unifi and select the Hypptv option in the router setup. If you forgot unifi account password can always call 100 to reset the password as I did. After few verification questions they sms the new password. This model had a very long antenna which almost tip over the router. I configured it to support up to 300mbps wifi connection by setting the Channel bandwidth to 40Mhz. Make sure your wifi adapter can support 300mbps connection.

QUOTE(SilentVampire @ May 7 2017, 12:15 PM) Happy to hear that you're enjoying the new router. Are you using the 5 GHz band or just the 2.4GHz? If you're just using 2.4GHz, I wouldn't recommend using the 40 Mhz bandwidth, even though that might support it up to 300 Mbps, as the connection could get unstable due to the network mechanism used to increase the bandwidth. QUOTE(raynman @ May 7 2017, 12:32 PM) Yep you're right it only support up to 2.4GHz. Updated the firmware after setup. So far quite stable. Reboot once don't know why cannot access internet. This post has been edited by merinyu: May 7 2017, 09:40 PM |
