Not sure if this topic has been discussed earlier. Since year end is coming, while we are counting down for bonus (hopefully ), interested to know what's the average annual increament for different position in different industry.

Let me start the ball rolling:

Industry: Logistics
Position: Executive Level
Job: Sales
Percentage: 10-15% p.a.

I've never heard of any increament or bonus in my company before

So soli to hear that

Don't know how much the increment or no increment at all...I just start work...
But, I'm expecting 7-10% increment for salary less than RM5000
If salary more than RM5000, then increment should be 3-7%.

My company is different, standard increment is about 5-6% for engineer. however top management will have better bonus and increment, 9-10%.

So sad because top management have higher salary already but still enjoy higher increment.

Just received last month the increment for last year, which was 7%. The previous year was 10%. I guess this year's increment will come around October 2007, if it ever arrives.

Well theoretically we should all expect our increment to cover the rate of inflation at the very least, assuming your performance review is not below par. Anything more is basically based on how much above par your performance is as well as the company's discretion... the rate of inflation was like, what? 6%? Anyone know what the rate is nowadays?

Personally I dont buy into companies that refuses increment when your performance is clearly above average. Things like citing excuses such as, 'You performance is good but we cannot give increment because we are over budget, etc, etc' is just a bunch of crap. My loyalty goes so far as how the company reciprocrate our work performance. Of course if performance bad, then got nothing to say lar...

Remember love your job not the company, you can always find a different company with the same job

increment: 7% for average performance, 10-13% for hi performance.

3-8% depend on annual performance

I would think/expect 10% at least Inflation + everything increase...

sad to say tht malaysian company usually dun giv much increment..unless u r in oil & gas company like petronas..their staff get 9% increment every year (normally all staff will get medium performance rate, rarely got ppl get high performance rate).

for my ex-company n current company, d most we'll only get around 5% increment..sad

ehh... not happy find other job lor. Anyway 5% is better than 0%... I've been in a bank where I got good performance review but even then 0% increment with the added insult of hearing all the lame excuses why it is so.

I know somes of my friend can get 50% salary increament in 2 years, methods is keep jumping, first job offer RM2000 after 2 years jumping for 5 times, now already RM3500.
Me myself also jump 4 times in 2.5 years but feel that the new one should be a long term already, can't afford to spoiled my resume.....

Who can let me know the salary range of System Analyst working in production line with 2 years experience?

yeah better dont spoiled ur resume. system Analyst for 2 years is about 2000-3000 depend on company.

it's announced that this year inflation is 4%.

it means if u get 1-3.9% more salary next year, your purchase power will still less than this year. but since the "numbers" increased, u pay more tax, deduction to socso and epf etc, which means u're losing money actually. altho it still better than no increment at all.

that would be in annoucement... if you really think about it... it should about 6-7% That why I hate those silly bosses said our company performance no good... this year no increament

for average performance, they'll get about 7%, but for high flyers, they get roughly around 13%

5%? but i heard that their bonus is quite high?

10% last time and maybe 10% this time...quite low tho if 10% of my gaji...and we are doing computerized KPI somemore starting this year..so if cant meet target = low %

increment low, but bonus many many months is very much worthwhile !!!

Some companies in Penang pay 5-6 months bonus as well. Normally it is hard to get into those companies because the turn over is very low

Sigh...long time didnt get bonus already. Missed those moment when seeing bank account suddenly got a sum of money.

some they do give in terms of pro rated...but most of the time you wont get.

I don't think you will get the bonus or increment if you havent gone through your probation period.

For me, my bonus is usually 3-4 months my salary depends on my performance, whilst increment will be at least 10-20% of my current paid.

bad times... most project haven't taken off.... so have to bear with it lo

the company increment in malaysia is quite low.... if can get 10% above consider very lucky liao.

bonus : 3-4 months
increment : 3-4%

Increment is very low. I would prefer higher increment than higher bonus.

Higher increment would mean basic pay is higher, so when one look for other job, you can demand for more....

Many companies in Malaysia look at your basic pay and will not pay 50% more than your current basic pay..

well, if u're really a 'sitting duck' (sry cant help it) then of coz u will continue to get treated like that

u can choose to talk to your superior for a start, discuss the matter as your difficulties (make sure u work hard 1st)

if he give no better solution, look for another boss that can pay u better

Hm.. i'll be lucky to get increament of even 5%. Bonus wise.. it's a contractual 1 month bonus only.. that's all..........

next year increment expect 7%

talking bout bonus, some bosses practise 'close work' angpau the day before CNY.

I got RM350.00 for a partime job b4... hehe ...

Thanks for the advice. But increment is quite stadard for our company. No one would be getting more than what is set by HR. If someone is looking for a good raise, then it's called salary adjustment, not increment anymore. Salary Adjustment can be >20%. I even heard someone got RM1000 salary adjustment before... But then again, the manager would have to fight for the subordinates... which i think most manager will not do that... they are also trying to keep their bowl of rice if ya get what i mean..

Oh ya.. I'm just waiting for my bonus and after that it's bye bye... Need the bonus for CNY.. 3-4 months of bonus is no joke.. so just have to tahan a couple months more...

got my friend, because hit target... He is sales manager... increament 1K.

I think promotion or hit some sales target might possible. Other than that, i dont think your boss will so kind for u

so every company has their way of rewarding their staffs. u get very good bonus i see...so u take the bonus divide by 12 mths u know u get more than some ppl (like me only 1 mth bonus) - if both of us earning the same la for example.
