This thread will move faster especially few banks offer cards with PPL access for lower income earners, for e.g. me.

Gen-X Aeon Gold gives free 6x entries per calendar year to KLIA and KLIA2 PPL not only KLIA.
Please amend this. |

QUOTE(Gen-X @ Jun 17 2015, 11:48 PM) Sis, for cards that do not come with Priority Membership Card - FREE FOR LIFE AmBank World MasterCard or Visa Infinite Cool! I'm having loan with AmBank and see if it allows me to have it with some FD if I'm really keen to apply one. What I like about it is the free for life thingy.http://ambank.com.my/eng/deals#c1c540e2e38...23e64ff7e23e4f7 To learn more about AmBank World MasterCard - click here to read VergonDC's review at my blog. Also adding to Post#1 my First and Last review of the Hong Leong Bank Visa Infinite where it comes with Priorty Pass Membership Card. Also added HLB MATTA to Post #1. If I have this card then I can cut my Aeon Gold and maybe RHB Plat, reduces some spaces. How about AmBank Plat? I should have applied for this instead of RHB Plat... Can I assume that AmBank Plat has equivalent good foreign exchange rate like the AmBank WMC?
If yes, I can terminate my Aeon Gold already. This post has been edited by fruitie: Jun 18 2015, 10:09 AM |

QUOTE(chongaik82 @ Jun 18 2015, 10:59 AM) I don't think there is any best way besides than experiences share by all LYN members OK lo... I think I will still apply and cancel some of my cards. Probably Aeon Gold.in here Credit Card Foreign Exchange Rate or AmBank World MasterCard - click here to read VergonDC's review at my blog. If there is better way, do let us know QUOTE(vin_ann @ Jun 18 2015, 01:55 PM) OMG... just read this... You have few choices. To name some:interesting!!! as im travel less than 6 times a year... this card will meet my need.... 1) Aeon Gold - RM 36k per annum requirement 2) RHB Plat - RM 60k per annum requirement 3) AmBank Plat - RM 60k per annum requirement If you only want to use KLIA and KLIA2, then Aeon Gold is sufficient. Just a bit of work when you want to use because you need to fill in a form before you go in. I recently used RHB Plat, just sign and go in. Gen-X, it seems that AmBank Plat and AmBank WMC are having the same PPL benefits. I don't think I wanna beg the bank to give me WMC when I can qualify for AmBank Plat.
What do you think? http://ambank.com.my/eng/cards/platinum |

QUOTE(maskedchan @ Jun 18 2015, 04:20 PM) since it is free card..why dont apply and try it yourself.. I have too many cards already... then compare with your current card no harm trying on few small transaction. I'm really scared will be rejected by bank because commitment is much higher than income. I plan to reduce some cards now... |

QUOTE(MGM @ Jun 18 2015, 04:23 PM) But these AMbank card requires u to make 3 overseas swipes, so you can't use it if u are flying within Malaysia. Moreover AEON has the 0% BT facility. Yes, there is this condition but easily fulfilled because usually when I take flights will be overseas. That's why I'll keep RHB Plat as well because it allows free accesses besides KLIA and KLIA2, unlike Aeon Gold. Actually I don't know which one to cancel la. QUOTE(Gen-X @ Jun 18 2015, 04:29 PM) Keep all as long as they are FREE FOR LIFE. The moment RHB refuse to waive your annual fee, terminate it That's what I thought as well. QUOTE(vin_ann @ Jun 18 2015, 04:30 PM) For first timer, what if i entered to lounge and never charge my 3 overseas transactions? Nope. The entry fees will be charged to your credit card. You will need to pay for the PPL entry fees. next time will not entitled to enter? System will update and ban me from access? pros n cons between RHB Plat Vs Aeon Gold... |

QUOTE(MGM @ Jun 18 2015, 04:32 PM) Hard decision. Actually I'm more worried that my application will be rejected. Anyway, I will try the AmBank Plat first. The rest I keep for now and need to get a cards holder to store all my cards. This post has been edited by fruitie: Jun 18 2015, 04:35 PM |

QUOTE(maskedchan @ Jun 18 2015, 04:38 PM) if you have to many credit card, will reflect bad on CTOS /CCRIS.. True. My Ikhwan Plat was rejected, I'm still sad over it. that why you seem people get rejected on application even the salary income requirement achieved. for girl is easy, just get a long wallet to keep all the card. beside that, can get bigger handbag to store all the card guy cannot go for longn wallet, look like gay I'm already using a mid-long wallet... I'm not that girlish actually. QUOTE(vin_ann @ Jun 18 2015, 04:42 PM) Was referring to RHB Plat ma... Thanks for info. kan we here discuss about free access... anything tht need to pay is no go. RHB Plat has AF ya, need RM 36k spending per year to get it waived. Some said easy to waive. I haven't tried yet, just got for one month. |

QUOTE(vin_ann @ Jun 18 2015, 04:51 PM) ops... mixed up! sorry RHB Plat - Have it first because free for first year. AmBank Plat - min 3 overseas transactions RHB Plat - 36k spending annually to get AF waiver, its 3K/Mth... argh. ok. back to square 1. Guess Aeon Gold is the 1 for me. no need 3 times swiping & min spending annually... Aeon Gold also has AF and free for first year but can be waived with 12 swipes in a year. It is only free for KLIA and KLIA2, other PPLs need to pay but at discounted rate. AmBank Plat - No AF but need to swipe 3 times before/after 30 days overseas transactions before can use for free. It also has a few overseas PPLs on top of Malaysia PPLs. This post has been edited by fruitie: Jun 18 2015, 04:56 PM |

QUOTE(bee993 @ Jun 22 2015, 12:57 AM) Just try, no harm.I already have 8 cards now with two cards are already having PPL access but I still plan to apply another AmBank Plat because it has no AF and comes with PPL access in Beijing which I frequent. I'm not sure if my application will be accepted because banks may see me having high commitments despite I pay everything on time and full payment. |
