QUOTE(Gen-X @ Nov 11 2015, 02:40 PM) haha, you miss exactly what? nice! The fresh brew coffee made by the barista is actually pretty good and if order latte, got coffee art too. Reason PPL at KLIA is much better is because they have tied up with many International Airlines. So, far the best airport lounge I have been to, complimentary from my credit card(s) is Skyview Lounge at Changi T1. Their food selection is pretty good and they offer FREE spirits including JW Black Label, red wines and champagne too. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « For more photos of the food selection and drinks at Skyview Lounge, please click here to my Facebook post dated 12 Aug 2015. Click here to my blog to view Skyview Lounge sitting areas where they have 2 levels. too bad i hardly go in singapore by plane. no chance to try that. |

QUOTE(wing2010 @ Nov 16 2015, 10:40 AM) Hi, from what i understand currently AMEX is the only card that offers unlimited access to PPL KLIA, KLIA2, Penang and Kota Kinabalu right? I will be flying at least 4 times a month for the next 4 years, so i'm thinking to apply AMEX cc just for lounge entry purpose. At the moment i'm more keen to apply AMEX Krisflyer than platinum in view of cheaper annual fee (RM250 vs RM800, but fees waived for 1st year for both cards) even tho i won't be flying with SIA. apply AEON Credit Card (jusco version), and AEON BIG credit card (carrefour version)I have a few questions to AMEX card holders before i send in my application 1. unlimited PPL entry literally means.. unlimited right? I assume with the same card i will be able to enter say Penang PPL before departure and KLIA2 gateway after landing within the same day 2. there are no conditions for the unlimited lounge access? i.e. minimum spending. i've read thru the website t&c but didn't come across any related conditions. so far none of you were denied entry right? as i do not plan to do any significant swipes with amex, so spending will be minimal and i'm not sure if there will be a risk with that 3. AMEX card holders are entitled to unlimited GM meals right? I tried to browse all 26pages of this thread and realized that it wasn't consistent. Some managed to get complimentary meals, some got rejected, and later on some ppl still able to get free meals. 4. Is there any way to waive amex annual fees for subsequent years? How long has been amex offering unlimited ppl access, and how often do they review their terms? hopefully they will retain this benefit for the longest time possible hope someone helpful can enlighten me about this matter, thank you in advance! each give you 6 visits to PPL, total you will have 12. then apply mbb visa signature, get another 5 visit. total 17 enough? |

QUOTE(wing2010 @ Nov 17 2015, 09:02 AM) LOL! thanks for your input ah, i not sure about the Annual Fee.. but RM100 is small amt, should pay if you really need to use the lounge service..if i'm not mistaken AEON charges RM100 annual fee right? that's why after weighing the cons and pros i find that amex krisflyer is still the most practical cc for domestic frequent flyer, solely for lounge entry purpose. at least for 1st year we get unlimited access to all PPLs (for free, and without conditions) then we can decide on whether to keep the card for subsequent years (RM250 chargeable, still worthwhile imho if we're flying several times each month) but most likely by that time we already got bored of PPL |

QUOTE(fruitie @ Jan 22 2016, 10:16 AM) Yes, I wanna avoid the midnight surcharge actually. I know MH can use mobile boarding pass to go pass security. From my house to KL Sentral and then take KLIA Express, the amount of money spent could have brought me to KLIA straight. Thanks for the advice though, only after I check in only go to PPL la. (Only if you don't have luggage to check in) |

28-Jan 6:30am, i went to KLIA PPL, presented my card and asked for flight club entry.
the staff explained to me that it only can be 1 place per swipe of card, means i cannot go back to PPL after they issued me flight club sticker. Food - no much choice from the morning bfast menu, limited to these items i ordered these american breakfast set, my order was served 10 mins, everything just not right, too salty the salad bar corner also not much choice beverage - juice not free, only certain hot / cold drink like tea and coffee are free. during my visit they out of milk so cannot serve latte / cuppocino etc.. environment - better than PPL, not much people, nice ambiance conclusion - if you really go for food, dont go the morning session. i rather go back to PPL which has more food choice |

QUOTE(fruitie @ Jan 30 2016, 01:27 PM) Thanks for the tips! I plan to go in the morning. i dont know why they specifically told me about this rules, but i never tried to go back.Anyway, if I still insist to go into PPL after that and let them swipe once, can? Or totally cannot? if you insist to swipe your card for 2nd entry, i dont think they will stop you |
