Playback Video playback problem, Computer Crash!!

Hey.. can any pros help me around? my computer crashes when i'm playing movie files.
for instance when i'm watching a movie using VLC or Windows media player, after some while the computer crashes.. What's wrong need help!! |

if u r using win xp, may b u can check at the event viewer to find out what caused it (right click on [my computer] choose [manage] then click under [event viewer] for Application/System)
