i am giving up on umobile since their service level sucks and their plans are tricky and app not user friend, data speed slow, on all level failed.
Here's the interesting part, 2 days after reply YES sms to port out, the line happened to be passive, and umobile still ask to top up RM5 just to port it out, i say this is shame for a telco to ask for more money just to end their service. not going to use umobile again since they handle it so unprofessional. |

is there a possibility that the outgoing telco reject the MNP without porting out after request has been made (assuming name and IC correct)?
if they reject (for reason holding back the number), can we make an complaint to authority? |

QUOTE(Chrono-Trigger @ Nov 24 2017, 09:39 AM) your lines need to be active to port out. That is the requirement. the MNP was rejected, i think they purposely make it difficult for outgoing customer, ok i throw them another RM10 top up just to get rid of umobile.Bear in mind that MNP is actually not 'free', as the receiving Telco bears the fee for it. So when you want to port out, the telco has the right to impose a minimal cool off period and to require you to have your lines active. To be safe, make sure your line has more than 7 days validity left. Porting process takes 3 days Working day maximum, not including public holidays and weekends. lets see what trick they come out with, will report back here. |

more stupid things at umobile!
after they reject my mnp, i top up rm5, then realised that 5 days is meant as working days, so i proceed to top up another rm5, then check validity is only 5 days instead of 10 days!!! so called cs, and they said need to top up another rm10 to get 10 days just to get out, blood suckers. to make matter worse, i just learnt that if you ask your friend to top up rm2 to get 7 days, it will shorten the existing 5 days to become 2 days! it get worse, so ended up you pay rm12 to get 2 days validity, WTF? how bullshit can umobile be? i am very determine to get rid of umobile for all such stupid reasons and policies. so now have to resubmit and wait for the sms again. wish me luck. |
