i tink maxis will be lose bcs maxis call rates very high
but mnp release also good bcs it can benefit our people 2 get lower call rates.i tink if maxis no wan the user change 2 another telco.better it reduces the call rates...so can fight with digi. digi is always smarts choice
*
Agreed on the first statement, but not on the second statement saying Digi smarter choice. IMO, Digi is just cheaper... That's all.

Do we need to change sim card also if we change provider?
*
Yes. You have to. It is a must.

How do you know which service someone is on after mnp? Will they notify us if the active10/FnF etc numbers change?
*
Only the telco people oe whoever has access to the database.

Good question and concern on the active 10 number. I try to ask around and get the answer. cool2.gif

If Maxis start its MNP and other telcos not yet start, what will happen?

If the other telco don't release that number, how can Maxis port it over?
When I call that number, which telco will be connecting my call?
*
It is why all parties must support and start the service at the same time. And it include the landline as well because you might use landline to call GSM phone.

I will port to anything except the con Maxis who con all the way like his owner who also own Astro and con and monopolize the market with dirty tactics, and late night sms about stupid offers.. hate it!!! crazy maxis sms operators only work at night. stay away from Maxis. Yucks
*
I hate those spam also. But I doubt if they are from Maxis. Maybe is some DiGi dirty tactics.... hmm.gif

When they mention
"Service providers are allowed to charge up to RM25 each time a subscriber changes their mobile phone service provider. This will give the users choice and freedom to choose their service providers without the inconvenience of having to change their numbers."

If I start from Celcom port to Maxis.
Don't like Maxis then port to Digi.
Don't like Digi then port back to Celcom.
Can or not? biggrin.gif

My experinces with Celcom are terrible... I am refering to 3G... very very bad... even in KL town.... doh.gif

Digi network also so-so... althought I heard they are spending big money in upgrading... But I just did not see result

Maxis also has various problem from time to time...

My conclusion is that Malaysia do not have any reliable cellco yet.... It is more on avoiding the worst... In this case, sure avoid celcom...
