Really ? I don't remember the voicemail tells you which telco it is. It only reads out the mobile phone number before allowing you to leave your message.

Hi all, I have received the message from DIGI that my mnp was successful and the line has activated. Should I change the sim card now or wait till my current CELCOM line has deactivated?
If need to wait, basically how long it takes to deactivate the current line?

They always advise that you should wait until the signal on your current SIM is totally gone before switching to your new telco SIM.

My mom is using a 012 number. She port out from Maxis to DiGi in August last year. At that time she did wait until she lost all signal on her Maxis SIM before she changed to the new SIM from DiGi. However, she port back to Maxis April this year but she did not wait until the signal on her DiGi SIM to change to emergency call only before switching to her new Maxis SIM. The Maxis SIM was already activated with full bar signal but at the same time her DiGi SIM was still working too. She was actually able to make calls from both her new Maxis SIM and the DiGi SIM. The signal on the DiGi SIM only changed to emergency call the next day.

Anyway, not sure if this is related but when i called her a few weeks ago, her phone was switched off and the automated system said that the DiGi number that you call cannot be reached at the moment, much to my surprise. It's almost like the port-in process wasn't completely done.
