Hi guys, it's quite some years ago since my last port out.. May I know is there a rule now that can only port in to postpaid if coming from different telco? I was told that i can't port in to maxis prepaid straight away from celcom prepaid.. can only to postpaid..

QUOTE(YoungMan @ May 3 2025, 06:51 PM) No such rules. The staf is just boolshitting to achieve his sales KPI. You can either do the MNP online, or go to a different centre. Oic.. what about port in to prepaid from postpaid of other telco? Can only to postpaid 1st right if from other telco postpaid?Have to be very firm on your stance otherwise they will try to push postpaid plan. |

QUOTE(YoungMan @ May 4 2025, 09:23 AM) No, you can port in from postpaid to prepaid of your choice. I have one of my number ported from Maxis postpaid to TuneTalk last year. Oh really? I went to celcomdigi, maxis and u mobile centre all 3 told me i need to port in to postpaid 1st and stay at postpaid for a few months before can change to prepaid if coming from postpaid. asked for my mum few weeks ago.. |

QUOTE(Piers @ May 4 2025, 11:29 AM) QUOTE(YoungMan @ May 4 2025, 11:52 AM) All trying to sell you their postpaid plan so they can earn some commission. Just DIY online and wait for SIM postage to your house. Actually I had tried to do it online but dunno why can't proceed when reached the stage of requesting for tac.. that's why thought of doing it at telco centre.. anyway thanks for your info.. it's just unfair for consumers as they imposed their own rules..Hotlink: https://www.hotlink.com.my/en/plan/switch-to-hotlink/ U Mobile: https://www.u.com.my/en/personal/mobile-plans/switch-to-u For Celcomdigi, you can try search on their website, or as alternative, consider TuneTalk which rides on Celcom network. Get rid of desperate middle man from telco centre. |
