Just acitviated new number and the coverage of Umobile is not good.

Thinking to MNP to maxis but the seller told me can MNP only one month after usage.

Is that true?

Yes, need to stay with existing telco for 30 days before you can port out again.
Next time you can buy a prepaid card to test coverage first as opposed to porting in and out.

No need stay 30 days. You can port out from U Mobile in less than 30 days. If they block, tell them MCMC don't have such rule any more.

Celcom is bad than U Mobile. My area has low coverage and indoor coverage is very bad compared to U Mobile.

I may port out to Maxis to have another try. If worst, I will port out back to U Mobile.

AFAmK, last time no such requirements or "Cooling Period" imposed... nowadays, we know who is doing business honest-ly....

If they imposed such rules, just MNP-o to other PRE-paid plan 1st, and then, MNP-i back to the desired PRE-paid telco...

Usually, me MNP-o to Spaceship Orange PRE-paid 1st. After successfully ported, ensure got more 10 sen credit/balance. Within the same week, then only MNP-i to Axiata PRE-paid, or Maxis/Hotlink PRE-paid, or other PRE-paid plans. So, no need to go thru POST-paid and wait for one month bill cycle... But by doing this, the banking MSOS/TAC code might suffer...so, change the mobile MSOS/TAC code at any ATM 1st before MNP-o....

Yesterday requested mnp from Digi prepaid to Hotlink Pantas via online. Let's see if it goes through. Going to dealer and center Maxis agent still says need to go Postpaid first. Aiya. Hopefully delivery is not delayed to Miri for thr sim.
