Will I be totally uncontactable while the number is being ported over?

Only for a few seconds when you're taking the old SIM out and putting the new SIM in.

Yup,

Based on my experience with porting out from umobile to Digi( may vary on other telco)

After receiving the port out successful sms, get ready to switch SIM card( for me around 5 minutes till no service )

Hi All!

I have port out from MAXIS and port in to DIGI since Aug2019 last year.

But the weird thing is some of the number from CELCOM, REDTUNE unable to call me.
When these few numbers call me is "no. yang anda dial tiada dalam perkhidmatan".

Anyone facing same issue and how to solve it?

Called DIGI few times also unable to solve.

Hi Ezekiel,

Is Celcom reception and data better than Digi? If you don't mind sharing, why did you port to Celcom? Thank you!

I have been using Digi for more than 10 years and I feel like the reception is not very good at home, have been disconnected half way on a call.

Am considering to move to Celcom. So if after i MNP to Celcom, can I MNP again back to Digi (in the event that I am not happy)?

Thank you.

Hi, wondering if there is a way to resolve this situation where previous telco claims I still owe them money, many months after porting out:

QUOTE
Happened to me with Celcom 2 years ago. When I was porting out, I settled everything. Several months later they said I have an unsettled amount of around ~rm150. To me it was impossible as I'm postpaid, and that amount is more than 2 months of my bill which I pay every month! Even if I somehow missed the last month before porting out (which I didn't), it's still not that amount. They got a law firm to send letter of demand, then blacklisted me. Incredible.

Above happened to my friend who ported out from Celcom couple years ago. Until now he is still on blacklist, which means he cannot move to any other telco as they said he is on 'blacklist', which must be Celcom's doing.

Anyone know if there is a cooling period to MNP over to another telco - if I just ported over this week, but the line has been unsatisfactory- can I port out or do I have to wait 30 days before porting?

Mostly telco will advised you to stay and use their service min 1 month (30 days)
Thereafter you are allow to port out.
