If we're lucky I guess. But it could be earlier as it's episodic, and there's no more Naruto games I think. So Cyberconnect2 can focus squarely on FFVIIRGames Final Fantasy VII Remake (PS4), April 10, 2020

QUOTE(Dominic Toretto @ Jan 11 2017, 10:53 AM) Nemura is originally a character designer, not suit to direct and manage game development schedule. I had to doubt his promise to the fans. Not sure if hiring Sakaguchi back would bring back what you expect from the game since I don't know what you expect out of it, maybe can share why you want Sakaguchi to come back? But if if gave the project to Kitase and Tabata, the game mechanic may change to suit with western market (look what happened to FF13 and FF15). Haihh, shud hire Hinorobu Sakaguchi back. Edit: Or what you feel Sakaguchi could bring to this game? This post has been edited by NixiN-7hieN: Jan 11 2017, 10:57 AM |

QUOTE(Dominic Toretto @ Jan 11 2017, 11:33 AM) I feel that perhaps by bringing him back can return back the glorious era of Final Fantasy especially he can monitor the development of FFVII Remake since he's the original story teller of FFVII, whilst also the previous director of FF series. I get your point that for a lot of people, FFVII was their first experience with a FF game. Many will feel that they should have the same people working on the game before to bring back the same magic. Maybe it's my personality that I'm not a nostalgic person, played FFVII so many times over the years that I kinda wish that they would move on from VII and do something new. Which, from what I've seen of the remake has me excited because they aren't doing the same thing over again.Bringing him back might also bring back the old FF music composer Nobuo Uematsu, coz I like the original FF team, Hinorobu-Uematsu-Kitase-Nemura, they can create masterpiece like FFVI/FFVII and other best FF titles like FFVIII/FFIX/FFX Its my hunch only. Tabata did great with FFXV, but this is FFVII remake that we talking about. Would I love seeing Cloud cross-dress, or the dolphin jump into Junon, XIII trying to fit into a sailor's costume or that cat fight on top of the cannon in HD? Maybe. Would I love to see a retelling of the old story with new gameplay styles and set pieces, I want that more. Also bring in Crisis Core into the main story as well, so we know why Aerith has a soft-spot for SOLDIER, Cloud's insecurities and the whole of Wutai. It's difficult to please both sides, but I hope that they can come to a balance of old and new. While we're at it, there's this great article on Polygon about the creation of FFVII. |

QUOTE(SSJBen @ Jan 11 2017, 01:57 PM) Bringing back an old team does not automatically equate to an instant classic remake. Times have moved, things has changed, the way people play is different. Yeah, that's what I feel. Better to do what they are good at and create something memorable instead of copying and falling short. At least then we will have two versions that we can enjoy rather than the real one and the fake poser one. There actually may be more hurdles to overcome with an old team instead of a team mixed of old and new. |
