I am okay with turn based especially Active Time Battle . And please include Active Time Event which they implemented in FF9 last time. Its like Tales of's skit but this time with full cutscene.

Rather than they spend money to do the remake, I suggest they use the money to bribe and bring back Hinorobi Sakaguchi, the father of FF. FF without Hinorobu is like Metal Gear Solid without Kojima.

Nemura is originally a character designer, not suit to direct and manage game development schedule. I had to doubt his promise to the fans.

But if if gave the project to Kitase and Tabata, the game mechanic may change to suit with western market (look what happened to FF13 and FF15).

Haihh, shud hire Hinorobu Sakaguchi back.

Not sure if hiring Sakaguchi back would bring back what you expect from the game since I don't know what you expect out of it, maybe can share why you want Sakaguchi to come back?

Edit: Or what you feel Sakaguchi could bring to this game?

I feel that perhaps by bringing him back can return back the glorious era of Final Fantasy especially he can monitor the development of FFVII Remake since he's the original story teller of FFVII, whilst also the previous director of FF series.

Bringing him back might also bring back the old FF music composer Nobuo Uematsu, coz I like the original FF team, Hinorobu-Uematsu-Kitase-Nemura, they can create masterpiece like FFVI/FFVII and other best FF titles like FFVIII/FFIX/FFX

Its my hunch only.

Tabata did great with FFXV, but this is FFVII remake that we talking about.

There is a part in the original game where Cloud and Tifa suppose having sex at the crater before they go final battle. Finally can see that part in newest game mechanic and in full HD!

In my assumption

There will be 4 episodes
-Episode 1 will covers Midgar arc until they reached Kalm village
-Episode 2 will cover from Kalm to Aerith's death
-Episode 3 will cover from the ancient place until they release the Weapon, Ultima Weapon as final boss
-Episode 4 is will started from the point where Tifa help Cloud recovering his memories and the final battle with Sephiroth.

I will tell you guys that the first EP does not end at Midgar. What is shown so far is still just a snippet of what you're getting on March 3rd next year.

Also, it'll have time exclusivity with the PS4. Expect only a PC version when the second EP is out.

It ends same as PS1 Cd1 ending, Aerith's glorious death in HD. This time the scene accompanied by beautiful ost song from some japanese dva artist singer (please, no more Gackt)

My prediction on this game.

-There will be open world game, but only limited at Midgar city.
-The storyline will ends after they manage to escape city of Midgar
-aside from main plot, there will be sidequests requested by local midgar residents, guild, clubs and organization such as killing montser, fixing rail line, bodyhuard job, infiltration, blow up another reactor in which involve with raiding dungeons, sewerage and maze to achieve objective.
-exploration mechanism will be like other open world game like Horizon Zero Dawn, Spiderman, Watchdog, GTA and possibly adapting FF15 open world style.

Even if they wanted to explore further the FFV11 remake first episode outside Midgar city, the furthest they can go will be at Ancient City where we will see Aeris got stabbed in glorious HD.

So how is the sales for FFVII Remake? Bad sales means that no chance for continuation.

Bought and played the game anyway despite some people said this game wasnt a full game. The story may not full, but the content and the gamplay seems full to me. For those who didnt buy the game due to having thought that this isnt incomplete game, you have right to say I got cheated by Square for their so called "semi finished FF7 game" and would wait for all the episode to released. As for me, I am sarisfied for what Square has fleshed and reimagine the setting of FF7 in the Remake.

As for time travelling stuff. I am okay with the appriach since it was done in FF game before (hello there Ultimecia's Time Compression from FFVIII and Lightning a goddess that travelled thru time in XIII-2 and XIII-3). Fact is, what most important to me is, this game is replayable since a lot of playthrough and route we can go just like dating sims i.e in order to trigger certain scene, need to select this or that answer from the response dialogue.

Considered FF7 Remake as "Rebuild of Evangelion", FF7 version. Some fans wanted Shinji end up with Rei while original TV series fans wanted Shinji stick with Asuka. But I hope they change Nomura as a director with someone else (say, rehiring back Hinorrovu just for once?) since Nomura kinda "Ryan Johnson"-ing the FF7R.
