QUOTE(SSJBen @ Jun 16 2015, 02:51 PM) Gameplay... maybe. I hope I'm wrong too. But we can only take a look at Squeenix's rep in the last few years, it hasn'y been rosey. Besides, FFVII is technically an even bigger game than XV. Recreating all the assets from the ground up takes an inmense amount of time, even if they keep all the mechanics the same. But then again, we don't know how long they have already been developing it. Who knows it might have started in tandem with FFXV's production schedule. If so, they've managed to hush it up incredibly well. Meanwhile, lemme get some tissue for my pants........

QUOTE(ray148 @ Jun 16 2015, 05:00 PM) FFXV hold ups over the years was caused by the game engine they've used. I doubt they'll return to using it when KH3 is using UE4. I'm one of those who never finished FF7 (played it until the submarine section I think). This will be a fresh experience for me. Unfinished!!!! Blasphemy!!!

It's been confirmed with an interview with Tetsuya Nomura that the battle system will be something different than the original. And I quote: "it would look silly to have new versions of cloud and Barrett jump forward to attack and then jump back to wait for their next turns" Here's the sauce: http://www.engadget.com/2015/06/17/final-f...erview-e3-2015/In my personal opinion if they can make it so that battles transition in real time into an 'arena' something like Star Ocean with action or even the Tales series I would be a very happy man.
