Just got my AEON credit card, was being told by the agent that if I have this credit card i no longer needed to use my AEON member card and renew for it every year and I still eligible to get AEON member point.

Is this true?

It is confirmed that AEON Watami card will be cancelled in May, next month they will start calling the existing card holders for permission to convert to AEON card. The existing benefits for Watami (3% etc.) will not be carried forward.

received call from AEON just now (due to I have submitted BT request last weekend), the lady told me WATAMI will be discontinued in May, so all the WATAMI holder will be receiving call from them some when next month, if they want to convert to other AEON card, or terminate the service.

Only Maybank afaik charge rm1 for Bill payment. Cimb only charge 50 cebt. Posonline charge 50 cent as well.

based on the TnC/FAQ released,

all benefit will cease after 30 april, so, as long as u secure the transaction (posting date) before 30 apr, and u spend at least 3k before the date,

then the CB will reflect in next statement, which is 10th of month.

any other transaction from 1 May onward are not count in 3% quarterly rebate,  but should able collect reward point, which can redeem as cash rebate.

the card is useless after 1May, but i believe the point system will still going on, until the card expire itself.

after u finished all the point inside, u may proceed to cancel the card. or apply new Aeon card.

another option Aeon offer is, convert the card to other Aeon CC, convert the reward point into Aeon member point.
however, the conversion rate unknown.

AEON just cease the BENEFIT, NOT THE CARD! the card is still usable until it expire date or u cancel it!

Imo, no matter your quarter end before or after 30Apr, no harm to continue use watami card, because we can pay aeon cc via posonline with your online cash back cc.. to me, most important now is to confirm we can get cash back from PB VS, Uob Vox or cimb for those payment via posonline, once confirmed, we need to get ready to own these cc cards to get the max cb rate..

I just done like u say. I oso plan to use my public bank card on this 15th april to pay watami card rm 888 to get rm 88( 10 percent) cash back through posonline o.

but still have rm 1500 in watami, don know u got any good way to pay for it through pos online?

Yes, AEON is slow.
Usually after I paid, I don't bother anymore. It will be posted eventually, not my fault for late posting.
