Yeah, sure Azureus works fine in Linux. However, like all Java applications, Azureus is bloatware, or almost there anyway. Azureus may be the most feature rich Bittorrent client I've ever come across, but it cannot beat uTorrent at low memory and CPU footprint. When you want to do many things at the same time with limited resources on your computer, you tend to want applications which can accomplish the same thing while eating less resources.
