ive decent unifi 50mbps. maybe i will join muultiplayer right after i finish single player campaign. need to familiarize with basic. yesterday only play about 1 hr

From what I understand about their mesh P2P. Basically, a host will be the one that manages the "lobby" during matchmaking and during game. But everyone in the game runs a "simulation" on their own computers. Example would be Ahmad's computer is running a "simulation" of the match (but he's not the host), and then everyone else in the match when they press a button or have any inputs, those small data packets are sent to Ahmad's computer and the other "players" in his simulation will do exactly what inputs the other players put in. This works the same for everyone else in the game, so the main host of the match only has to deal with maintaining the lobby during the match, and not have everyone else connect to him and depend on his connection speed.

This is why the game pauses when someone is lagging, because your computer did not receive their input in a timely manner and can't process the action of the lagging player in the simulation, it pauses the game until the other player's connection stabilizes. Then if someone rage quits or disconnects, everyone's computers has to verify what happened to the play, so again, pause the game, then "eh, okay, confirmed that player dc-ed" only continue unpause the game

That said, this type of p2p is still not great, as we can see from the beta and in the full game.

Kept dc. So I gave up and went to play 1 story mission then play titanfall 2. I dc few times before joining you also. So not my night to game. Sigh

Hi, any 1 here know setting port forwarding for router innacomm w3400v on For Honor game? due to i got red connection "NAT" ,please teach me step by step if possible, cos i m noob on this >_<

I did do some research from net as they said need to change as below :

Uplay PC:
TCP: 13000, 13005, 13200, 14000, 14001, 14008, 14020, 14021, 14022, 14023 and 14024 Game Ports:
Inbound UDP: 3075

I did get into NAT – Virtual Servers Setup from the advance setup, but "Application" tab cant find For Honor & failed to setup..

Appreciate if u guys could help me out, thanks =)

After 7pm I keep getting dc. Guessing it's cuz more people in my housing area starts using internet after coming home from work or something. Managed to play a lot before 7pm with no issues, after that DC non stop.

Suspect it's the game's p2p infrastructure not being very friendly towards high latency or packet loss. So best is to make sure you use cable when playing this game.

Yeah best to change the port thingy to make sure your game connection to "green" NAT, as played for 2 days i get few dc from game, but still playable on lot 4 v 4 match.

no issue on my side & really enjoy the game with some lowyat forum member XD

ya, the best is using cable or 5g dongle (if your router support it)

but i dont think it will help much, my laptop is sitting next to the router, still dc sometimes, i think bcoz depend on other player network also

the best if ubisoft use the normal server method kind of things like other games...

For those of you who what open port, you only need to open UDP port 3074 for For Honor. No need to open other ports as stated by the internet guide. Remember, do not simply open random ports.
Also allowFor Honor inbound and outbound connection on your firewall.

As for peer to peer connection in For Honor, this video will give you good explanation.
