hi all, will be going bangkok for visit this august...please help

if i want to go to chatuchak market, mbk mall and suan lum night bazaar. anybody know where's the centralised place that i should stay if i want to wonder / lurk around these places?

which is the place with many cheap goodies that only open on saturday and sunday? please help
