from survanabumnh to on nut, it should be less than 250(inclusive of the 50 baht additional charges) if u know the route... most likely the taxi driver has taken u for a ride( there r plenty of routes heading to On nut from airport)... kekkee... but one thing for sure, taxis in thailand are much better than ours..... in terms of service... and u also can experience roller coaster rides with them hahhahahaa......

ohhh just read properly ur posting... 440 excluding toll... meaning the driver had taken a long route heading to On nut.... usually from airport to On nut there is no need to take the toll way.. i reckon he has taken a longer tollway, as there is also another route heading to on nut which also cost below 250(excluding the toll charges, should be 45 baht)....

u can take BTS to saphan thaksin station... then lead ur way down to the river, where there are public boats line as well(forgot what's the name)... u can stop at the pier(name forgot again) of golden palace within 3-4 piers stop, u can ask the conductor who will be collecting money from u where to stop....
