Besides Ayutthaya, any township near to Bangkok I can travel to? Probably the place can be reached by taking short domestic flight. Any suggestion?

QUOTE(chakravathy @ Apr 30 2009, 03:43 PM) Thanks for the suggestion. I might include The Rose Garden in Nahkom Pathom in my itinerary. If I want to squeeze the trip to Nahkom Pathom and Kanchanaburi on the same day does it sound possible? What's the better public transportation to go there? By train or bus? |

QUOTE(coin @ Aug 12 2009, 12:43 PM) Hi, Just take BTS and stop at Saphan Thaksin station which is linked to Sathorn pier for Chao Praya river taxi. If you want to go to Grand Palace, you can stop at Tha Chang pier. For Wat Pho, stop at Tha Tien pier. For Wat Arun, also stop at Tha Tien pier then take another boat to cross the river at THB 30 one way only. Urgent help needed. Will be going there this wkend w parents n kids. Will stay at sukhumvit area near BTS. Which is the best way to go to golden palace area? can i use BTS to go to the nearest station near there then take boat at chraophraya river to visit those temples? And which is the best way to travel to pratunam market? thanks.. So sorry for the questions n not browsing it myself as i know i hv too short time to read all the pages here... n lately a bit bz at work. Sorry, hope u guys can help. And one more question, u see ah.. will go with parents n kids ma.. need to worry abt the h1n1 or not ah? Thanks. Wednesday 23th Sep
I did't go to Chinatown. But from my reading before my BKK trip, you can have cheap bird nest/shark fins soup/seafood there. Also night market. Friday 25th Sep I dun think there is a floating market nearby Wat Arun. Are you referring to Tailing Chan? To go to Wat Arun/ Wat Pho, take BTS skytrain and stop at Saphan Thaksin station then hop on to a river taxi at Sathorn pier and stop at Tha Tien station. Take another boat to cross the river to Wat Arun. Saturday 26th Sep I would suggest BTS Mo Chit then walk to Chatuchak. Many people try out pork burger at McD or pork ribs at Tony Roma because they are not available in Malaysia. If you opt for food court in the mall, you can go to MBK 6th floor or Siam Paragon G floor. You can try Fuji restaurant for cheaper bento set if you like Japanese food also. If you like seafood, can try out Somboon Seafood. Front page should be helpful for you. This post has been edited by lpp: Sep 13 2009, 05:14 PM |

Hi. I'm interested to travel from KL - BKK - Sukhothai - Chiang Mai - KL.
Any recommendation on the budget airlines that I can take for the connecting flights? Should I stop at Sukhothai or Phitsanulok? |
