Hi, all. I just came back from Bangkok on Sunday. Took AirAsia and landed at the new airport. It was mostly a shopping trip so we went to a lot of shopping complexes and a few other locations namely (in sequence) :

MBK
Siam Center
Siam Paragon
Chinatown
Pratunam market
Emporium
Pantip Plaza
Patpong

Btw, does anyone know if I can buy original PC game titles in Bangkok and bring back to Malaysia ? Any restrictions on such items ?

Most of the games are Thai version but there are some titles which are in English. I saw Supreme Commander in English Version and was selling for about 790 baht in Siam Paragon.

I agree with what wk_wong said. In my trip last week, me and my cousins took the 10.30 am flight. The flight took 2 hours and reached there around 11.45 pm (MY time is one hour ahead).

After we landed and checked into the hotel around 12.30 pm, we managed to go to several places at the same day, namely MBK and Chinatown. So that left us a lot more hours to explore other sites the next few days.

As far as my experience goes (stayed in Sukumvit area last week),
transport shouldn't be a problem going anywhere but make sure itz near the train stations. Around Sukumvit there are shopping centers and massage centers if you are interested in those.

Going to areas like Pratunam or Chinatown will cost around RM15 by taxi. For trains will be cheaper.
