going in june in an "all girls shopping trip" so figure better stay in chatuchak area would be more convenient smile.gif anyone have a better idea which hotel/guesthouse or inn is ok to stay there ?

prefer between RM 50 - 100 if possible as its just a place to stay and most of the time we will be out instead of staying in the room.

wk_wong

I will be going in June 8 - 11th smile.gif I have been to patpong and that area is just famous for those raunchy dancings and as there is only gonna be 2 girls so, always better be safe than sorry-la.

The night market there is nothing to shout about if compare to chatuchak I'm not sure if compare to Pratunam though. As Patpong is famous for foreigners so the price also all jacked up price for them as well ya know.

sunbeams : hey bro. havent heard from you since my first trip. Now i know my way all around bangkok. Its not hard once u familiar with it. =). Thai people are very friendly.

About the food, well i always ate at those hawker roadside food. Its not bad tho. You can get fried rice for as cheap as RM1.20. Chiken wing cost RM1 for 3 pcs. But I like the duck. So far, i dont have any problem eating at those stall.

For accomodation, someone ask about a budget guesthouse. Well, i stayed at a place which cost me RM50 per night and its pretty clean. Got room service everyday. They clean and mop the room. They have CCTV for every floor and you can see your room at the front desk. Its very safe. And the air conditioning, super cold tongue.gif. I always wake up at night and turn it off. You can the place in Pratunam. Its called Watergate Regent. 1 minute walk from Baiyoke Tower.

Edit : In addition, Redbull price is 90 baht per bottle in Thai. Hooray. Beer also very cheap. You can get Chang or Singha for 25 baht per can.

kucingfight,

I just went to search for a map in sukhumvit and found this.
JS Tower looks far though and also a way off from the On Nut Station.

went 2 floating market n found nothing much interesting. Food is abt nearly all the same n all selling the same thing.

Fun part is when sitting on the gondola but just went to certain area not the whole canal area. so was abit dissapointed.
