wlcling - dinner at the bed? i dun think so. maybe u can consider taking her somewhere else. there are lotsa restaurants in sukhumvit (try the japanese food - nice, but be prepared to pay) or maybe u can try the chaopraya cruise along with the dinner onboard.
nugget - van rental (honda stream) around 2990bht for daily and 1330bht for per day for monthly. maybe u can negotiate. my colleague gave me this info. i have not tried it. good luck. cheers |

BTS National Station - Silom Line
MRT Hualumpong They are not walking distance at all. Alternative options is to take the boat from Tha Phra Chan to Tha Sathorn and take the BTS Saphan Taksin - Silom Line Good Luck |

im a frequent business traveller to bangkok. the budget taxi's normally include a 50bht service charge. Toll is 65bht. and to my service apartment in sathorn is around 250 - 300bht depending on traffic and which route he takes. there is not double charge after mid night.

19/7/08 - Chatuchak Market - Siam Paragon
20/7/08 - Floating Market - Central World 21/7/08 - Pratunam Market - Chao Phraya River , Khao San Road i dont think u have enough time to this above combination. u'll probably spent 1 whole day in chatuchak. central world and paragon should be on the same day. if ur in the the shopping. i suggest u visit MBK and siam square area instead. pratunam and platinum mall should be on the same day are they are just opposite one another. u should rework ur itenary. do be reminded, it rains every evening badly this days. although its still suppose to be summer. which floating market are u going to? |

QUOTE(stimix @ Feb 2 2009, 11:15 AM) U mean Danoen Saduak floating market tour which is located ~120km away from Bangkok? Well as posted long time ago, he's how I did the tour: Wow i went the same floating market the last time with my thai colleague. 1) Taxi drivers outside my hotel offering me good price. Decided on one driver who take my offer of 800bath to floating market....damn so cheap...considering the distance 2) Arriving at one of many private piers near the floating market area ~ 1-2km away from actual location. The motorboat owner (look like typical chinese Ah Beng...insist on 20000bath (RM200/boat).. After bargaining hard he insisted the lowest at 1500bath...Still not satisfied, I decided on unthinkeable & raised my voice in mandarin..(yeah they were Thai's chinese) & telling them I rather go back Bangkok rather than the RM150 boat ride!! 3) The chinese Towkay suddenly accepted my offer of 1000bath after I pulled my wife & daughter to the taxi!!.....I still think RM100 for the boat ride is expensive till now.. Total damage on the Taxi fare & boat ride =RM80+ RM100...for 3 pax. The taxi driver even brought us to Grand Palace & Wat Po wth 1 diversion tour to gem factory for him to collect his free petrol voucher taxi was about 500bht. and the boat was just 100bht. motor with roof!. |

the paragon underworld is much better as compared to ours.
ours was so bad, they couldnt make money and they had to kill all the poor fishes. if you are already near JJ market.. don't bother going over to Suan Lum unless you wanna have beer at their beer garden or watch Muay Thai. |
