had the chance to audit a good integrated amp today....
thanks to
sonerin for taking the trouble to bring the amp over....
first off....the amp is really heavy....needs 2 person to carry....single person can be dangerous
the amp can be used as integrated or power amp....which is a good flexibility to have should someone wants to add a good preamp in between
since this amp only accepts single ended interconnects.....i had to dig some rcas out.....managed to find some old Audioquest Topaz.....
after power on.....decided to let it warm up before i do any listening....
after 30 mins on decent volume....time to sit down and enjoy
first impressions of the music.....
the KT150s are fast and doesn't sound lay back....
its full of energy and music body is quite well balance
this amp is only rated probably 55watts or 60watts per channel....but it sounded like a 150watt amplifier....
it had good grip on my Cremonas......the only difference between this vs the ARC Ref110 and LS27 combo....
1. micro details
2. upper tail end extension
3. low bass extension and control
overall....this is still a very good amp as the comparison was against a much higher league amplifier
highly recommended for serious budget players.....it had no issue filling up my room with its power....
