Wanted to ask is there any tyres apart from continental premium contact 2, bridgestone potenza RE050a for this size?

I'm not looking for eco tyres, if possible i wanted slight performance series. Hence goodyear excellence is out of my way.

that tyre i think is definitely not within my budget, I've searched that before, it costs like RM9xx per tyre?

Hence I wonder why it is so expensive.

Quite a few options really.
Could try the new Dunlop D05, Bridgetone RE003 is quite good, Hankook Noble V12. Quite an option available.

Bridgestone RE003 confirm don't have the size of 195/55r16, minimum 205, too wide for my stock 6JJ rim.
Hankook and dunlop don't have official website in malaysia, hence cannot confirm the availability of 195 tyres for R16 rim.

That's the official suggested retail price but most shops are selling much cheaper than that. It seems those prices also have not been updated for a long time.

Michelin mar, the most expensive rubber in Malaysia.

What car you using? Is that the original tyre size? If can use 205 would be better, more choice and much cheaper too. 205/50R16 less than RM300 per donut.

Honda City 2014, sadly my 6JJ R16 rim cannot fit 205, at least it's not suitable to fit 205 to get the full potential of the tyre, because 6JJ are too small for it.

On the other hand, I did not think of changing the rim because it was original rim from honda that made by Enkei.

So I think I can only look for 195/55 or 50/r16, that's the largest size I can get to fit the rim.

But even the price is cheaper, seems like it's still at least double of normal 195/55r16 tyres..

your tyre original size isn't it 185/55R16? you can go back to the original size, tyre also not expensive and more choice.
or alternatively you can go for 195/50R16, also not expensive and more choice

But for me 185/55R16 are slightly narrow, if possible i want a larger tyre that suites the rim as well, which is 195 for 16 inches 6JJ rim.

However even if 185/55R16, only have eco tyres around this range. which are Michelin XM2 and so on.

195/50R16 then, much nearer to your original tyre diameter size. Also this size is easier to find.

Any example? haha. Because I've been looking for this 2 size, either 55 or 50 as the ratio for 195 width R16.

Michelin PS3, confirm don't have 195 for R16, R15 then yes..
Continental MC5, it's not towards performance one. In that case Continental Premium Contact 2 will be the only choice still...

Its very hard to find tyres for 195/50/16, most fiesta users with stock 195/50/16 change to 205/45/16

I mean easier in the sense that it is easier than 195/55R16.
Yeah, 205/45R16 would be a better choice but since he say his rim can't use 205...
IINM Goodyear and Hankook also have 195/50R16 size.
