2017? Our neighbor will have 1Gbps as the norm and S.Korea will have 10Gbps for consumers already...

QUOTE(t3arsCulprit @ Nov 4 2015, 03:48 PM) Singapore la of course. Yes, 1Gbps already available in SG but not to all mainstream users yet. Same thing in S.Korea, 10Gbps also available in certain areas but will roll out to all major places by 2017.While we here can't even get 100mbps as a standard... |

QUOTE(t3arsCulprit @ Nov 4 2015, 03:57 PM) Myrepblic only came out with 1Gbps plan in SG wor.. Ping in games is unfortunately not something that any ISP can directly fix for every game (that means don't ever expect under 10ms for most online games, ever), not in this region. Either normal 1gbps or gaming package with good ping.. So how is it not cover the whole SG leh?? It's to do with gaming itself rather. Can go into a whole different topic on that which will derail this thread. |

QUOTE(johntg100 @ Nov 25 2015, 05:57 PM) Comcast, Verizon and AT&T has been known to sent death threats to their customers for bringing too much questions and requests. They can be very nasty. To add, the big 3 in the US will also monitor your usage like a bee. They're all just dinosaur companies sitting on billions of dollars of assets just waiting to cash out by shareholders. Verizon is known for their dirty tactics of shutting down their copper POTS telephone networks and forcing their customers to take up 4G mobile broadband with small monthly quotas. Small community based networks built by the locals are still the best choices if you're lucky enough to live in a town with internet savvy population. Sure, that's what all ISPs in the world do, but any of them in the US can and WILL send you warnings, tell the feds, and knock your door down if you're on their shitlist of unlucky people if you just so happen to be torrenting some new movie, VPN or not. I've seen it happen with my own 2 eyes. Think like in msia? suka suka torrent 24/7 and no one kacau you? Think again lol. TM may look like retards in this country, but compare to many others... they're actually quite saint. |
