Agent office at Asakusa means those property will be within Asakusa. Middle of Tokyo city sure expensive. Plus that kind of rental are basically one room which link as living room and kitchen , one toilet without bathroom.

If you want a apartment like Malaysia low cost flat 600sq ft , 1 living room , 1 kitchen , 1 bathroom ,  2 bedroom will cost 160k yen per month.

Japan most hotel only can advance booking 3 month early. You going next summer. Long way to go. Talk when time has come. No point discusss now because nobody know the price.

They are having public free wifi in town now. My sis went to Osaka & Kyoto last September. She said that thou some of the spot where wifi are not quite strong, but overall can use. Hence, she conveniently using google translate to communicate with Japanese. Unless your hotel doesn't have wifi, or you need 24hrs x n-days of all time strong wifi.
Things change so much since the last time I visited 2 years ago, where I have to bring my pre-downloaded map and using sign language to communicate.
