I am planning a christmas trip in Japan.

11 days in Osaka is frankly too long. I think you may consider getting JR West Pass (such as Kansai + Hiroshima or Kansai + Hokuriku)........to see a bit more during your 11 day stay?

My upcoming trip (October, 2nd trip to Nippon)



Day 1 night = Arrive at Haneda
Day 2 = Tokyo (Odaiba Gundam, Toyota)
Day 3 = Tokyo (Tokyo Motor Show)
Day 4 = Tokyo (at late night, take overnight bus to Toyama)
Day 5 = Toyama (city area)
Day 6 = Toyama / Kurobe / Kurobe Gorge
Day 7 = Kanazawa
Day 8 = Tsuruga ---> Kyoto ---> Osaka
Day 9 = Kansai area (Kobe)
Day 10 = Kansai area (Osaka)
Day 11 = Hiroshima (Mazda plant tour)
Day 12 = Kansai area (Wakayama area), later at night board flight from KIX to KUL

Cultural, look at Kansai area (Osaka, Kobe, Kyoto, Wakayama, Nara).

The one I tried was in Higashi Chaya area of Kanazawa.

Hokuriku area is beautiful, very beautiful. I would consider going back there again.

If you purchase the exchange order, you must exchange it to an actual pass at major JR West stations (Kyoto, Shin-Osaka, Sannomiya etc.).

Only then, this actual pass you can use it for travel. Like any pass, show it to the station staff at manned gates.
