I know the rules that requires homework here. This is my draft plan for my itinerary this coming March 2016, very preliminary plan.

Is it doable? Planning the route then only plan for accommodation and transport.

Day 1 Sat - Reach Kansai Airport night - Overnight at airport/Stay in Namba

Day 2 Sun - Kyoto

Day 3 Mon - Kyoto

Day 4 Tue - Day trip to Nara

Day 5 Wed - Kyoto - Osaka

Day 6 Thu- Osaka (USJ)

Day 7 Fri - Day trip to Kobe

Day 8 Sat - Osaka

Day 9 Sun - Osaka

Day 10 Mon - Osaka, night flight

Will it be too long at Osaka or I should extend 1 day for Kyoto? Just afraid the crowd for USJ so preferably do not want to go on weekend. Fri should be more ppl than Thursday right?

My travelling date is 19th March till 28th March. Praying can catch a glimpse of sakura towards end of my trip.

Appreciate all the sifus help here. Thanks in advance.

How much was your flight ticket? Air asia I presume?

It's my first time to Japan so most likely will be doing touristy stuff. Have you start booking your accommodation?

Btw, I might be going Onsen. I've searched that Kobe's Arima Onsen is quite popular in kansai area. If I don't plan to stay overnight (as it seems quite exp), is it sufficient for me to cover Kobe or better 2 days to spend there?

Main purpose in Kobe is try kobe beef, Chinatown walk walk, earthquake museum, mount rokko. If got time will slot in onsen.

Make sure you do homework first. The rulez of onsen.
Very serious if you break it. Very pantang

Dear RC Sifu, besides no tattoo allowed, need to bare all and split gender usage. Any other rules I need to know of?

I also know some Ryokan only allows their own guest to use facilities but there is some that allows during daytime for outsiders to use. I'm aiming for those that allow outsiders or another option is to go public bathhouse.

ADDED : ok, google it just now. Saw some link for it. Thanks and will take note of it.

I also manage to find that 2 options.

Seems like Kobe-A-1 is cheaper and from trip advisor it mention mostly local that go and quite empty.

After u guys mentioned bout Kobe-A-1, I quickly check tripadvisor. Wah sound so much cheaper than I thought. Someone claim 3 pax bill 19K yen, another one 2pax bill just 10,200yen. Not sure they are having a meal individually or sharing it.
I thought at least have to spare out roughly RM500 per pax.

Ya. based on previous RC tip I googled based on the hint which got that 2 search. But I got a feeling RC meant other than that 2.

I haven't eat such high class food before but since going Kobe I don't mind trying it as I can say I add the authentic Kobe (but I also saw some review mention taste like Australian beef) at Kobe.

I was thinking to go Kobe one day trip, had kobe beef lunch then proceed to kobe arima onsen then back to Osaka. Is it doable or too rush for 1 day trip or should I stay 1 night at Kobe? Main purpose is to try onsen and eat kobe beef only and some touristy sight seeing.

How about trying Matsusaka Beef in Osaka smile.gif

I would think is the same Kansai region (and perhaps even from same farm at Kobe) but cannot say ate in Kobe tongue.gif
