Making noise in train if passenger behind or infront can giving warning. Most of Japanese will do.If I was inside a train. I meet this kind of passsenger, I will direct ask train staff give them a strong warning. |

They didn't really make a lot of noise, just saying it's like as if they're playing CS. If I was inside a train. But to be honest the whole open air segment (coach 5) was like that, other passengers summore step into our places to take pictures... all tourists I have to assume. |

Hi guys
Sorry if this has been answered before. But I'm planning a 8 night trip to Japan with my gf (3nights in Osaka and 5 nights in Tokyo) Would 20kg of baggage allowance (Air Asia) per person be enough? Should I get 25? 30? How much did you guys need? Thanks in advance! |

QUOTE(michlove @ Aug 18 2015, 12:04 PM) wei, good idea wor...I have a bunch of SGD here...if I change it to yen, in Japan better or in Malaysia? I wil change it in Japan, coz not sure they will do direct exchange from SGD to JPY here. If they want you to change fr SGD-MYR-JPY, then believe that you will rugi a bit as there involve 2 transaction (money changer earn twice from you). |

Actually many foreigner doesn't know Japan practising quiet train ride. I was overly shock during my 1st trip. Having 6yr old boy with me, as you know how much typical Malaysian will "ngee ngoo" the kid. But suddenly feel uncomfortable coz the whole train so silence. But we thought is the culture, and never cross our mind that is a rules. Anyway, trying hard not to behave odd.. I end up "sshhh sshhh" my son when I wanted to call him out. If I was inside a train. I meet this kind of passsenger, I will direct ask train staff give them a strong warning. Only lately from a TVB tourism show, get to know that Japan practises quiet train ride. |

QUOTE(miyamoto_musashi @ Aug 19 2015, 01:29 AM) Hi guys Depends individual. If you want it to be limited into 20kg, sure can do it. But do make sure you spare at least 5kg each for some light shopping stuff. Sorry if this has been answered before. You may consider: - type of clothing that you need for that particular weather, and if clothing can be recycle wearing - will you opt for laundry - or bring stuff for half trip, then shop for the balance. (never tried in Japan, but I did that alot in Thai) and not to forget you have 7kg handcarry each I bought 20kg each for going, and coming back with 30kg (myself) & 40kg (hubby). But now feel abit stupid with the 40kg and there is no way we can drag a luggage that heavy. |

I think we will both go with 25 each coming back. Sounds like it should be sufficient. |

Hello.
I will be heading to Tokyo on Nov 11. I wanted to ask you guys here, how about the train pass there? is it advisable to get the day pass or get the PASMO/SUICA ? I see there is one offer for Keisei electric train from NRT to Tokyo Nappori + 3 day pass for Tokyo metro for about 3000Yen. But, it said only Tokyo metro, what about the Toei subway? I suppose it's not inclusive, right? And also, anyone with experience boarding the Shinkansen? I plan to get on it to Kyoto, how and where to purchase the tickets ? Thanks !! |
