QUOTE(jorineb @ Nov 11 2015, 02:00 PM) nah.....my Takayama's photo [attachmentid=5273392] For the schedule, I started as early as 6am to take the train from Tokyo to Nagano. Just use hyperdia to arrange your timing and try not to take taxi la....I don't think taxi is easy to catch there. The bus is a better option. When you exit the train station, turn right and you will see the bus booth to buy the tickets. There will be people standing there and directing you to go buy tickets there. It's a famous tourist attraction place. So don't worry, you won't get lost Are you going to Shirakawa-go as well? This post has been edited by michlove: Nov 11 2015, 02:27 PM |

Hi guys, another question, I have...
Based on Hyperdia there is a shinkansen train (Hikari 493) that departs from Shin-Yokohama straight to Hiroshima but the info is not same as japan-guide.com website (need to change line as the last station for Hikari ends at Okayama). Should I refer directly to Hyperdia for more safer reference? » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Thanks! |

QUOTE(RegentCid @ Nov 11 2015, 01:08 PM) No. thanks for the info.Because transport connect to Haneda Airport are Private line. Tokyo sightseeing can used Metro daily Pass. Tokyo city to Narita no pass. Have to used Pasmo or Suica. correct me if im wrong... so the best way is to get to narita airport is Keikyu - Kuko Line - 1800 yen, shuttle bus to hotel - free, compared to the limousine bus which is twice the price... once i reached the hotel in narita, get a metro daily pass to commute around. (but only applies to tokyo region) which means i will require to find the nearest station to narita? |

QUOTE(Samurai @ Nov 11 2015, 03:29 PM) oh, food I have alot tips.....[attachmentid=5273879] Soeur Cafe, Takayama Soeur has awesome baked goods, as well as really tasty coffee and herbal teas. The back wall of the cafe is one massive floor-to-ceiling window overlooking the Miyagawa River. Add in the lazy jazz background music, and it’s a perfect place to spend a rainy afternoon or take a break from sightseeing. [attachmentid=5273891] Pumpkin pudding is a must try in Takayama. You can buy this at Le Midi Hida Beef also a must try in Takayama. Try at Heianraku or Bistro Kanzo |

IMHO, the Hida beef I tried is better than Matsusaka Beef Yakiniku M in Osaka, and its cheaper too. This post has been edited by limchee: Nov 11 2015, 04:10 PM |

The only train run fully are "Nozomi" class only. Some Hikari exteded journey to Himeji, some to Okayama. Mostly stop at Osaka. This post has been edited by RegentCid: Nov 11 2015, 03:49 PM |

As for the beef, I think you are referring to Maruaki....it is way more expensive than my earlier recommendation. And this one, the beef quality like drop d and portion so small.
