i will reached haneda airport at 10.30pm. seems like train/subway will be close at 11.30pm. I don't know want to book for my accommodation for that night. Plan to stay in shinjuku area. Heard that there is a midnight bus to shinjuku but not sure able to catch up or not. Need advise. Thanks.

TADAIMA!!! I'M BACK FROM A 16 DAYS TRIP IN JAPAN!!!!
16 days is never enough for Japan.

We went to Osaka, Takayama, Shirakawago, Kanazawa, Toyama, Kurobe Gorge, Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route, Matsumoto, Kawaguchiko, Tokyo, Nikko, Karuizawa, Enoshima, Kamakura...

What I hate about Japan? sky gets dark too early, as early as 5pm, so what we can do during the day is very limited.

Fortunately, during my stay, most of the days are clear with blue sky. Only one day at Fuji 5th station with heavy fog, cant see the fuji mountain peak. But we got to see it again at Hangetsusan, Nikko 300km away the following week.

Time to plan for my next trip!~

Just came back from Japan yesterday, visited Koyasan, Kyoto, Osaka, Takayama, Shirakawa-go and Kanazawa in 10 days. Overall our trips were smooth and never get lost and I found their signage is very clear and not too complicated to understand. I think able to read Kanji is definitely an advantage to travel in Japan.

Amongst the cities mentioned above, think I like Takayama and Shirakawa-go the most and never regret spending extra transportation cost to go there. Kyoto and Osaka are too crowded in my opinion. Kiyomizudera have nothing to shout about but the early morning walk to the top of Fushimi Inari was interesting and enjoyable. And we enjoy very much on the hike from Takao to Kiyotaki (东海自然步道).

Can't wait to visit Japan again.

Yes, with the Takayama Hokuriku Pass, it save me about 8K yen per pax.

lrt in Tokyo if I buy the unlimited passes?
