what is Consent To Charge?
The Title to your property is restricted whereby any sale, lease or charge of the property is subjected consent from the land office being obtained. usually how long does the process take ? It varies because need to see little Napoleons' mood. For selangor, usually it takes about 2-4 weeks. And is that the final process before getting the key ? No. After obtaining the consent to transfer and charge, subject to whether the property is encumbered (meaning whether Vendor owes any bank or not), then only proceed to adjudicate your memorandum of transfer (MOT) and lastly registration (together with the consent(s) and MOT) at the land office |
