any valve amp user here? looking into china tube amps recently, Cayin, Audiospace, any reviews?

I have owned multiple model model of Yaqin tube amps, this particular MS-34D, which was the export model, was really good value for money. It used EL34B tube for power. If you looking for nice vocal and bass, this is a good fit.

im sure that a pair of cheap but capable passive speakers would be nicer?

paired with a budget amp i think the result would be better than computer speakers wouldnt it?

im guessing if i spend rm800 on a pair of passive bookshelf speakers and get a decent amp that will do the job right?

These speakers

Guys can you refer me to some professionals to setup a whole audio system for my restaurant? About 4000sf and looking for some above average systems.
Much appreciated!

Hahaha...anyone except Alvin from Perfect Hifi. He will have you spend MYR500,000 for a "simple" setup and then make you think that you owe him a favor for wasting his time on such a tiny budget. Probably make you run Nordost Odin 2 speaker cables all round your restaurant.

Well the first thing about cdp is d pickup mechanism and dac.

The pickup mechanism is about stability in reading the cd

Dac is crucial for d conversion of digital to analog which dictates how it sounds overall

Good dacs impact the sound greatly

Valve outputs just adds the tubish sound into the music with the intention if making it sound more analog

Good solid state pre output sometimes sound better than tubes

Marantz KI edition is an example of a well built sounding cdp

SA-KI Pearl Lite going for MYR4,590 at Hiway Laser & MYR4,400 at Lazada
Better go for lower series... CD5004 (MYR999) or CD6004 (MYR1,999)
