im sure that a pair of cheap but capable passive speakers would be nicer?

paired with a budget amp i think the result would be better than computer speakers wouldnt it?

im guessing if i spend rm800 on a pair of passive bookshelf speakers and get a decent amp that will do the job right?

These speakers

with this amp

For budget integrated amp, do consider

Maybe you can hunt around for a used pair of this highly recommended budget speakers?

If not, second-hand Usher S520 is also a good choice, but you don't have any budget left for an amp after that.

with RM5500+- budget
Active speaker or Passive speaker + speaker Cable + any smaller form factor solid state integrated stereo amplifier? Saw one Yamaha solid state integrated stereo amplifier with full size like AV amplifier form factor shocking.gif

KEF LS50 for passive speakers or Focal Solo6 Be for active speakers.
I'm bias to these 2 as I sold the KEF after I bought the Focal.

Not sure what is the price in KL, but I bought the KEF for S$1.8k while the Focal for S$2k/pair.
Considering the miserable exchange rate shakehead.gif , the rm5.5k will only get you the KEF speakers, without spare change for cables

Yes the sound had just started to change. I can feel the sound warmer and getting fuller. The sound is more open up. The more I listen the better it sounds. Had been using for over 40 hours already

You can consider the MP-401. You can audition it at star picker audio. Then you can decide
