Hi looking to get a speaker for my pc, right now just play audio direct from laptop.

Budget: RM 400~800 (not really that fussy since I am "ok" with even laptop speaker, of course some bass will be great)

Wireless, Bluetooth option is a must for phone connection.

Was looking at Edifier R2000DB, but it seems a bit bulky to put on the desk, my desk is only 120 cm.

Any recommendation on smaller size speaker would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Go smaller with their R1280DB range? Don't need to be expensive to sound good. notworthy.gif

RM 2000~
usage - movies/music

currently using r1700DB, not a big fan. the bass is too much and muddy. im more a fan of clarity, but there's no need to be too analytic

Can check out Airpulse A80. I've never heard it or the r1700DB but I'm using the A300 and love it listening from couch (not desktop). I've neve seen this model until I look up for the price of the Airpulse A100 today.

Wanna check with you guys i bought the Edifier S360DB recently and after run in for about a week i found the left satellite speaker is louder and pitch is higher than the right side, any method to balance the sound level other than adjust the balance in sound setting?

Are you running it via analog minijack cable? It shouldn't happen like this.
Do double check connection in case its the port not contacting well. If all checked and it happens even on bluetooth then better send back for warranty

The S360DB don't have a L/R balance control

Thanks for your suggestion. I have tried below, results still same, on PC i can adjust the balance with 100% on left 85% on right in order to balance the sound level. I thought my ear got problem so i take out my previous Klipsch Promedia 2.1 the issue gone so prove that my ear should be good. I tried messaging Edifier Malaysia but no single response received.

1. RCA to 3.5mm minijack with Creative soundblasterX AE5 sound card
2. Optical to Creative soundblasterX AE5 sound card
3. RCA to 3.5mm minijack with motherboard onboard sound
4. Optical to motherboard onboard sound
5. Bluetooth to PC
6. RCA to 3.5mm minijack on Samsung Note 8
7. Bluetooth to Oneplus 8 Pro

Do i need to send in whole set or just the satellite pair? If possible i wish without bring in subwoofer. Also i wish to know how are you going to handle? Repair? Replace the whole set or just replace the speaker driver? Since this is newly purchased it is such an unfortunate required RMA so fast.

If you think one side feels a bit weird, it's definitely the speaker. Probably something wrong with the tweeter. I have experienced something similar until I confirmed the defect via frequency response with REW.

Need recommendation for budget (below RM1000) subwoofer for music. icon_question.gif

How to test the frequency response with REW? Any tools or software required? How do you resolved the problem?

any mic plugged to pc will work with REW

But for best performance use a RTA mic (especially the usb type) for consistent measurement. (XLR if you need to measure crazy long distance like concert PA speaker and may differ from preamp to preamp)
Play a test frequency sweep or a pink tone up to see frequency graph. Compare your left speaker n right. Etc..

I was looking to replace my Edifier m1380 that recently emits static sound. Probably the closest will be XM6BT but thats expensive. I am also looking at logitech z337 but some said logitech speakers are crap.
The XM2BT while still expensive might be the only choice unless there are other alternatives.

My setup most likely to put the subwoofer under the table thus need something that could handle dust well or something that do not have too much switch so that I could just set it, wrap it with protective cover and forget it.

What's the static? Care to describe? Might as well try to fix it if you couldn't find something equivalent.
Does changing the RCA cable help? Usually the RCA cables do break from the bending
Is the volume remote making scratchy sound? MR Diy sells contact cleaner spray and you can spray on the volume pot underneath the knob and spin it fast to remove oxidation. (It will also makes it lose grease and become too smooth)
