I think your comment "like a trampoline" is due to the high repulsion of the string.
Different players play with different strings and different string tensions so possibly there is a sound difference.
Also, it could be the way (your technique) of hitting the shuttle which is why your sound isn't like other player's sound.
For your tension of 24lbs, I think for new player, it is more than enough.
Usually players will start from 20lbs then gradually go up till they find the most suitable string tension for their playing style (skills?).
IINM, factory strung racquets from Yonex are 18lbs.
