any of u guys prefer slope sides ?

for some reason the hairstylist cut for me slope sides like in d pic above.

i usually request d sides to be straight.

Imho, slopes oni look good on a round face, on a long face it makes it look even elongated.

But then again, it'd be gone in a jiffy when the hair grows out, so my take is dun bother.
*
i had a look at older pics of previous my haircuts where d sides r straight. makes my head look bit weird...like too long. somehow slope sides make my head shape more natural. but my face not round

speaking of which i don't seem to have a straight haircut before. i didn't even know what is slope cut till now. you guys are so stylish.
my hairstyle was specially cut selected by my Indian barber. most indian barber will do slope cut aren't they if you do not have specific style?
*
actually straight sides quite hard to do for certain hair types. like straight asian hair. coz the longer hairs will fall over the side n if d hair not long enuf it will create a canopy effect. a slope will prevent the canopy effect fr occuring lo coz the side length starting fr sideburn to highest point of the sides is incremental.

does straight cut need a higher maintenance? i only cut once a month. so basically my style is 'pendek dan nipis'.
*
i would say yes more maintenance. for yrs my sides were cut using no2 guard n were straight. within 2 weeks the sides start to get uneven. depends on hair type also. if ur hair is wavy/curly then less maintenance.

i had one prob when my sides were cut straight...it made my head look long. coz the longer hair nearer the highest point of the sides had to be cut so wont stick out n hang over sides. this causes those hair to stick up a bit. so that makes my head look long. but now when my sides r sloped, the long head look is not so obvious
